Korathota - After Lunch you will be driven to visit Korathota Temple. According to the historical information provided over there, this temple was started in year 01 AD. This temple has two important historical inscriptions, which says this temple was offer to Maha Sanga by a daughter of Mahachula Mahatissa. Second one says one cave offered to Maha Sanga by a provincial leader call Sumana.

Nawagamuwa - Your next stop will be at Nawagamuwa temple and Pattini Devalaya. According to popular legends the early establishment of Devalaya goes back to 1st century AD. Nawagamuwa also inherits archeological sites that dates to BC period as per archaeological research conducted in the area. The Devalaya is popular among the masses for its miracles and to receive the blessings of the goddess Pattini.
