Excellent tour with Romesh - Had an excellent tour with Romesh on Oct 3rd 2024. We went to several authentic spots and I tried spectacular food dishes. The spots are all over Colombo so you get to see the city as well. Tip - go on an empty stomach as it is a lot of food! Highly recommend!

Great authentic food experience - Jackie and Fizal were excellent guides. Food was lovely and you would be unlikely to find the resturants on our own. We had tea tasting which was informative amd also one vegetarian guest who was easily accommodated. This tour is more about the food and less about details of the city etc. Be ready to eat.

Great experience - Great experience! You would never find these spots or dishes without a guide. They were also really good with dietary restrictions. Our guide Caviar was funny and good to learn from.

Yammy Colombo food tour with Caviar - We really enjoyed our tour with Caviar. Incredible experience trying authentic Sri Lankan food. Such a variety of foods to try is very special. The food was delicious and varied and flavorful, and Caviar went above and beyond explaining a lot of things to me about food and history. Our guide was fantastic and very friendly and knowledgeable. Caviar was happy to answer any questions we had. Highly recommend it !

Great way to start/ end your Sri Lankan vacation! - We really enjoyed the street food tuk tuk tour! It was our first evening in Sri Lanka, so it was a perfect kick off to our vacation. The food and tea at the different stops was delicious and our guide Caviar was really kind! The experience showed us how and what you eat usually and we saw a lot of the city as well!

Colombo Food Tour - The guide had a lot of knowledge and was very helpful in explaining both information about the city and how all the food we had is made. At one of the restaurants, we even stopped in the kitchen briefly to see how exactly the dish is made. Come with an absolutely empty stomach because you will eat a lot, but everything was delicious. I would definitely recommend this tour as a fun dinner idea and a fun way to learn more about Sri Lankan food.

Great way to experience Colombo's food and sights! - Mr Maran as our driver and guide. He was punctual and friendly, and expertly brought us through the busy roads to experience true Colombo traffic! The food was really good and the servings were very generous! Thank you Mr Maran for the wonderful tour!

So so - As somebody who has done a few street food tours in Asia I thought this one had elements of hit and miss. A lot of it was on the go and you were kind of given food with no real context or explanation. Some of it seemed very rushed. The tea shop was so so and there seemed to be an expectation that you would buy something. The explanation was rushed and they seemed to be going through the motions. The food at the hopper restaurant was fabulous. The other food was good but very seafood focused. As a non- seafood eater this was less than ideal. Work arounds were done and I am grateful for that. As I said at the time, I should have warned them, but thinking about it maybe a questionnaire when you book might be useful ! The last stop involved curd and honey from the supermarket…. Again flung at us without any real explanation. All in all, this was an interesting evening. The food was good but I kind of left feeling a bit disappointed given what we paid.

Bad foods tour - The worst food tour ever. First 3 adult in small tuk tuk. Can’t see anything no explanation where we are going. The first stop the foods was not eatable. The teas shop was a joke. The desert was store bought . Finally we have a hard time understand Mr. Carvia. We didn’t get all the foods was listed.
