Colombo Fort Old Lighthouse & Clock Tower - This is the only clock tower in the world with a lighthouse in the middle of a capital city which works even up to date. The tower was constructed as a clock tower in 1856-57 and completed on 25 February 1857. The tower was designed by Emily Elizabeth Ward.

At the time of its opening, it was the tallest building in Colombo The museum has a collection of currency that dates back to the 3rd century BC. It includes coins from the Anuradhapura era (3 BC to 107 AD), Polonnaruwa to Kotte Kingdoms era (1017 AD - 1597 AD), coins used during the Portuguese, Dutch, and British colonial eras through to the modern era, and commemorative coins and notes.
