Not recommended - The driver didn’t follow the schedule. I can understand that even if he picked me up in a hotel in the center. But he started to propose me to visit a the national colombo museum. I asked « but do we have time to do everything after that? ». He said yes. So I spent 30 minutes in the museum. And then at 10.45 he starts to drive me back to the hotel skipping 4 things on the list. Red mosquee for example. I asked him. He said yes we can go. But later he asked me if I can pay more time. I said no. He said then he’s going to drive me back to my hotel. I asked him to drop me on a coffee instead that was a shorter drive for him. Then he asked me to go spend 10 minutes in a gem stone shop so he can get a gift card discount. I was highly disappointed and I felt I didn’t have the choice. I choose to pay 3 times the price of a tuktuk tour that i could have done by myself to avoid this kind of situation. Taking tourists for stupid is not going to get you far.
