“From market to table … - A full day cultural experience - collected by taxi and taken to local market where we met with our host, Nim. Explored every inch of the market and learnt about the huge variety of tropical fruits & vegetables. Tastes of several then taxi onto Nim’s home and a hands on cooking class. In a relaxed class of 4 guests we made 3 different curries, a coconut sambal and some coconut rotis, then sat down to eat it all!!! Great way to spend a day in the real Sri Lanka, not tourist haunts.” - Reviewed on 2024-12-01

“SUBLIME time for foodies, cooks and authentic experience. Unmissable! - Dhanuka, Anu and Ama are SL gems! Better than the ones found in mines. Dhanuka collected me on time, and we chatted about all things SL, on the way to a market. He helpfully named fruits and vegetables I didn’t know. The market is all locals selling their farm wares - all organic, fresh and great quality. Onwards to his home where I met his charming wife, And, and MIL, Ama. For the next several hours we laughed, talked food and culture and family, all whilst cleaning, prepping and cooking an array of curries from scratch.” - Reviewed on 2025-01-15
