The Udawalawe Elephant Transfer Home, located within Udawalawe National Park in Sri Lanka, was established in 1995 by the Sri Lanka Department of Wildlife Conservation. Its main goal is to rehabilitate orphaned elephant calves for eventual release back into the wild.
Udawalawe National Park - After enjoying a delicious lunch at Udawalawa, you will be picked up for a safari by jeep.
Bordered by majestic highlands to the north, Uda Walawe National Park is one of the world’s premier locations to observe wild elephants. Comprising mainly grasslands and bush forest, it is also one of the top national parks in Sri Lanka for wildlife viewing.
Udawalawe National Park is situated on the boundary of the Sabaragamuwa and Uva provinces of Sri Lanka, approximately 200 km southeast of Colombo. It is easily accessible from Colombo via the Rathnapura – Pelmadulla – Colombage Ara – Thanamalwila Road, leading to the Udawalawe park entrance.
Yala National Park - Colombo
Yala National Park - Early in the morning, around 5:30 am, you will be picked up for a Yala Safari by jeep.
Yala National Park is an expansive area of forest, grassland, and lagoons along the Indian Ocean in southeast Sri Lanka. It is home to wildlife such as leopards, elephants, and crocodiles, as well as hundreds of bird species.
Colombo City Centre - After completing the safari, you will be driven back to Colombo and dropped off around Colombo, Negombo, or the airport.
