A good day trip from Montevideo. - I am touring around South America and while here, thought I would head to Colonia while in Uruguay. It was a pleasant day trip. Saw some interesting things and had a nice lunch. The company was well organized and easy to work with.

A more than pleasant walk - The stops at the sights are beautiful and the staff are very polite. Also, before we arrived at Colonia Del Sacramento, we made a stop at a site famous for having the largest collection of keys and pencils in the world.

Fun, a bit pricey - It was fun, a bit pricey for what we got but overall a very relaxing and comfortable experience. Better than renting a car to go to Colonia

Great day trip to Colonia for a great value. - Overall I had a great experience. The stops were interesting, the bus was comfortable, and the guides were very informative. It did feel like it was rushed at times since the guide had to speak in Spanish, Portuguese, and English, but it did not detract from the overall experience much.

Worth seeing Colonia del Sacramento for its history - Overall a good day, but it took some time to pick everyone up and drop everyone off at the start and end of the tour which made for a long day. Colonia was very expensive for what it was, but it was fun to walk around the old town for three hours (which was plenty).

a little overrated - ferry transfer package from BA to Colonia A/R. Arriving in Colonia you are dispatched on buses depending on the language (Spanish or English). The bus goes at reduced speed towards an arena where you get off. I didn't find any interest in it! then return to Colonia with a stop at the Colonia sign for photos (we save time). Arriving in town the guide (very friendly) takes you into the old town while avoiding other groups. The poor thing struggles to furnish and rehashes the explanations and saves time (1 hour visit) as the town is small and of little interest with the added bonus of lots of mosquitoes.. A remains of a rampart with 1 drawbridge + a few old houses but without interest. It is true that as a European I am used to much better. After (it's not noon) it's free time while waiting for the return ferry (5 p.m.) it's very, very long! Extremely disappointed by this visit which takes 1 day (very long) from BA to duty free on the ferry.
