Highly recommend Falconry at the Broadmoor. - The Falconry class was AMAZING. Our family has 3 boys - ages 23, 19 and 17 and all thought it was incredibly cool. This activity is good for all ages. Malcolm was so knowledgable and the hawks, owls and falcons were great. Loved that we had 3 different activities and learned new things at each. HIGHLY recommend.

Incredible Experience with Broadmoor Outfitters - Highly Recommend! - From the very beginning of our experience (purchasing tickets) to the end of our class, everybody on the Broadmoor Outfitters team went above and beyond. The team was helpful, friendly, and professional at every stage. My wife and I attended the combined course (beginner and intermediate) and were pleasantly surprised to find out we were going to learn about hawks, owls, and falcons. We were only expecting falcons! Delaney picked us up from the Outfitters meeting place and was a good source of information about other Broadmoor Outfitter events (i.e., zip lining, fly fishing, hiking, e-biking in Garden of the Gods). When she dropped us off, we met Malcolm, the falconer apprentice, who was a class act. He explained each one of the birds and showed us the differences between each of the birds. He handled the birds with care and encouraged us to ask questions throughout the class. Before we started the intermediate session, Malcolm provided easy-to-learn instructions on how to prepare and call the bird and what to do when the bird came to us (yes, leather gloves are provided if you're in the intermediate class). It was amazing to have the hawk land on my arm, take its treat, and then sit there so I could observe the animal eye-to-eye. If you are interested in learning about and observing birds of prey, this is a must for any family, business, or group of friends who want to see these amazing animals up close. You could even give this class as a Christmas present for your loved ones. As a matter of fact, my wife and I were so happy with our experience, we'll be bringing our granddaughters to a future class so they can these creatures up close and in person.

Falconry…experience history first hand - A very unique experience with lots of information, history, and instruction associated with the sport of falconry. Best of all, was the abundance of time we got to spend handling the birds and learning about their individual traits and personalities. There is something very magical about calling a free hunter to you from the trees and have them choose to fly to your fist…a rare display of mutual trust. The passion, love, appreciation and most of all, care for these birds was very obvious throughout the class. This is a must do for the nature lovers out there. We plan to go back next year for a hunt.

Powerful, Beautiful Experience - This was an amazing experience, way beyond my expectations! The time "flew" by. At the beginning I literally cried as I was in awe of what we were learning and experiencing with these magnificent birds. Deana's presentation was fun and very informative, answered so many questions and even at the end, we wanted to stay for more! DO NOT miss this program. (And just to clarify, Hawks, Falcons, do NOT bring back live prey to you! They do FLY TO YOU which is beyond words of how powerful and beautiful the experience is.)

Falconry Broadmoor - I really enjoyed it. I got to hold Juliet and I loved the instructor. I think it is a great class and would recommend it to many people. The demonstrations showed how much these people love the birds and I learned a lot of new things.

Unforgettable experience - I enjoyed the entire trip to Colorado, Pikes peak, Garden of the Gods, Cave of the Winds, but the true highlight of the trip was the falconry experience. Words don't do justice & if you are in the Colorado Springs area do yourself a favor & book this class. Money well spent, & you'll never forget the experience.

Fun Falconry Experience - We had an amazing time learning the history of falconry and seeing the birds up close and personal. I purchased the beginner and intermediate combined class for my boyfriends birthday and it was worth it. Having the birds come to you and seeing live demonstrations was incredible. We hope to get into falconry in the future!
