Passeio Ilha dos Frades - I found the company on the internet, but I preferred to talk to one of the employees via WhatsApp to solve specific questions. I was always answered in a short time, regardless of the time that sent the message, with clear and objective answers. I bought the tickets online so I could pay (but it contains interest) and the purchase was fast and safe. A day before they sent the information about the exit of the tour and a photo of the exact place where you would find the guide, making it much easier to find him (considering that there are several companies on the spot). The tour itself is beautiful and very pleasant, with snacks and drinks inside the catamaran (paid at the end of the tour), music and a lot of animation. On the boat they distribute a bracelet referring to the restaurant that we will have lunch while we are on the island (thus does not overload any restaurant and the service is satisfactory), with the right to stay in the hat all the time, in the sand, without paying anything extra. It is important to say that, in addition to the value of the tour, it is necessary to pay an embarkation fee in Salvador of 20 reals and an island preservation fee of 25 reals (both fees with payment in cash or pix). Overall I loved the tour, the company's service and the island itself. So I recommend this tour.

Good - Great, if it was to be done again I still think I would go directly myself to the Marina now that I know, and the breakfast was only 2 fruits, but the atmosphere on the boat was good and the professionals were nice.

Looking for tours in Salvador? Do it with good tourism - I was in Salvador in Jan24. I booked the Ilha de Frades, Morro de São Paulo and walking tours. Ilha de Frades: Clean and calm sea for swimming, the route leaves from the sea terminal in Salvador and is done by catamaran. During the tour there is a performance by a pagoda group, they serve fruits and drinks (paid). On Ilha de Frades there is a restaurant structure and the cork oak mats to be placed underneath require a minimum cost of 50 reais. Morro de São Paulo: Simply wonderful! I loved! I highly recommend going to Morro de São Paulo. As it is a very far destination, it becomes very tiring. I recommend spending 3 days in Morro de São Paulo, to make the most of the destination, as there are islands (Gamboa, Boipeba) to visit and the night there is quite busy. Wallace tour: tour of the historic part of Salvador (churches, pillory, museum). Tour carried out with the guide Jose Jorge (an excellent professional) since hiring the service, he provided me with all assistance before and during my trip. I highly recommend @deboaturisno 1000/10

Tour to Frades Island - The ride was great. About the timetables: they were super punctual, both on the way and on the way. About the Boat: Safe, with guidance on the use of life jacket. The super attentive staff and great attentive staff. We just don’t like caipirinha (we found her “watery”, a matter of taste). We loved the fruits and the possibility to take food/cooler to the island. About the island: Accessibility for the elderly (I liked this point), several restaurants, paradisiac landscape. No comments... the place is absurdly beautiful. I highly recommend

Only Frades Island - Excellent. Staff 101% Only if it was the fruits that were served 15 min before arrival and already passed. For me didn't even need fruits, but if they were advertised, they should serve better..

OKish - We booked an English speaking tour but almost all explanation were in Portuguese only. We reminded the guide more than once to please speak English with us, however his English speaking skills had room for improvement. If you pay the taxes and the island entrance fee (total 45R$ p.p.) with card, you have to pay 55R$ (so better to bring cash). The boat takes you to a private beach with three restaurants. We were asked immediately after the arrival to place an order for the overpriced food (e.g. 40R$ for a portion of fries). In return, the umbrella on the beach is for free. The beach is very nice und the crew asked several times of everything was okay ("todo bem?") so we appreciated the effort but all in all this tour is not worth the price.

Deceptive and dishonest practices - We did a ridge circuit in October 2023. The guide was very good and the visits interesting but FRAM's practices are scandalous. The reservation contract was not respected. The product sheet was modified between the reservation and the invitation without our being informed. And in the end not all the services were respected! When booking, no mention of a transfer "collective shuttles with clients from other agencies" and group limited to 49 people. On the invitation: collective transfer with the possibility of waiting 1 hour at the airport before departure + group increased to 55 people! In reality: 2.5 hours of waiting at the airport + 2 hours of driving (landing at 6 p.m., arriving at the hotel at 10:30 p.m., it was 80km!!!) + group of 60 people! We needed a double-decker bus because there were so many of us. This is unacceptable and scandalous. We would never have booked under these conditions. Is it normal for a tour operator to allow a contract to be signed with certain conditions and once everything is paid, to change the rules unilaterally? NO !!! Despite all our documents and irrefutable evidence, customer service shows total bad faith. No credible justification for these changes. Depending on what they arrange, they take into account the first or 2nd product sheet which they did not even respect anyway. Deceptive, scandalous and illegal practices. We contact the tourism and travel mediator.
