Really great experience - We had the most amazing experience with William and Edwin on the Hidden Waterfall Guided Tour in El Imposible National Park! From start to finish, they were incredibly professional, friendly, and attentive. I was a bit concerned about my fitness level for the climb, but they went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable. They even arranged for me to have my own guide who was super supportive and helped me every step of the way. The team’s knowledge of the park's flora and fauna was impressive, and they made the entire experience both educational and fun. The hidden waterfall was absolutely breathtaking, and the whole adventure felt like something off the beaten track, which I truly loved. If you're looking for a unique adventure and want a team that genuinely cares about your experience, I highly recommend William and Edwin. They really made the day unforgettable!

Excellent trip - William and Edwin were excellent guides. They had a lot of knowledge and we had a lot of fun jumping into waterfall pools and rappelling up a cascade. Felt safe and looked after yet it was a sense of adventure

BEST EXPERIENCE IN SOUTH AMERICA! - We did this tour privately with our family of 4 (2 teens) in March. We are frequent travelers and prefer more “off the beaten path” experiences and locations. This experience was probably the most unique and best we have ever had!!! It was so special that I am very conflicted about making a public review and bringing attention to this hidden slice of paradise as I fear it will become exploited and ruined. The guides are incredibly friendly & knowledgeable locals who made the voyage educational and enjoyable for all. This is their “backyard” so they knew every place to stop, play, eat & rest. They helped us navigate the steep and rocky terrain safely and made the track through the jungle an exhilarating experience, to say the least! We were also very impressed that while we were enjoying the swimming holes, they took out garbage bags and filled them with trash that the locals had left behind at the most popular waterfall. The only word of caution is that the full tour we did could be considered very strenuous and over very rocky and steep terrain. We rappelled up waterfalls and climbed up cliffs with very minimal safety gear. The hikes were also very steep both up & downhill. We are a family that is in great shape and able to navigate most challenging terrains. I do trust that the guides alter the tours based on ability, age & experience!!! Just an FYI. ;) In sum, if you’re looking for the most unique experience in all of South America, THIS IS IT! Worth every penny & more!

An adventure of a lifetime - This was the most exhilarating day trip that we have done as a family. William and Edwin the guides were amazing and fun. We had such a great day (although absolutely exhausting). The scenery is breathtaking and the waterfalls were refreshing. It was at the limit of my fitness level but our older teens had no problems and absolutely loved the entire experience. Parts of it were tough going for our 10 year old daughter but William and Edwin couldn’t have been nicer. There is rappelling and a lot of rock climbing, steep walks through the jungle and swimming. They taught us about all the various plants and their uses and even found us wild mangoes and plenty of other fruits I had never heard of to taste along the way. I couldn’t recommend this highly enough - it was so peaceful and is so much fun for those with an adventurous spirit. Recommendations - What you need 1) put on bug spray and sunscreen before you leave. Would bring a small bug spray just in case (we didn’t get bitten) 2) swim suit and cover that is good for hiking, protects you from sun and that you can swim in 3) hiking shoes that will get wet (grip is important) - you will swim with these on and it was much easier than I thought 4) 1L water for each person 5 ) optional sun hat 6) optional protein bar 7) optional small waterproof back pack - we didn’t have this so they took ours and put it in theirs for the part that we needed to swim in river 8) camera/ phone to take photos ( will need to go in the guides waterproof bag at some point) What you don’t need 1) flip flops or any kind of flimsy footwear 2) we brought towels but didn’t need them - (although no harm to bring a small towel and dry top for a younger child) 3) jackets/ coats/ change of clothes 4) breakfast or lunch as they are included in the trip - unless you have dietary requirements - vegan friendly options 5) anything you won’t be able to carry for a few hours hike 6) hiking poles as plenty of natural ones along the way

The experience of a life falls into an extra ordinary landscape - Important note you must be in very good physical condition the hike to get there is downhill and very steep there are 2 options for the return return by the same path so go back up very steep approximately 1h30 for people in good shape the 2 The option is to go through the waterfall so walk in the river on the narrow walls and there is a stopover at a waterfall Very nice experience but the hike of my life not for everyone but what satisfaction to have succeeded

This is a truly authentic... - This is a truly authentic adventure untouched by western life or the tyranny of safety. Not for the faint of heart. You need to be comfortable with hiking and traversing a path and trust your guides. These are highly experienced guides that made me feel comfortable the entire trip. 100% worth it. Beautiful nature, educational, excellent waterfalls and lots of swimming.

Amazing tour off the beaten path! - This tour was incredible! William is an amazing guide with so much knowledge about the local area, and he is a truly amazing person (do yourself a favor and ask him about how he got started giving tours and how he founded El Salvatours!). This was my favorite experience during my trip -- very special and off the beaten bath (you will so no other tourists or even locals). I spoke Spanish with William throughout the tour, so I can't comment on doing the tour without knowing Spanish (though I am sure it would be fine -- you might just not learn as much about the plants you see). The tour started with a quick local breakfast before heading into the forest -- after about a 30-45 minute drive, we began hiking. Along the hike William taught me about the local plants and we even tasted some of the edible ones! We got to a river and did a series of jumps of different heights from various waterfalls as we progressed down the river -- these were awesome! A bit adrenaline-inducing, but not too bad and if they are too scary, there is always an option to hike down instead, or in some cases jump from a lower point. We did an easy rappel down one waterfall as well. Near the end we hiked down a 180+ foot waterfall and then did some jumps from the side (the highest is about 30ft, but there are lower options as well) and took a break for some swimming and snacks (fresh fruit, guacamole) before hiking back. The hike back was actually a bit strenuous as you are going uphill for about an hour (or longer -- we were moving pretty fast). You could always take it slower though -- you won't be rushed. The hiking both directions just is best for people in relatively good shape as it is quite steep. The truck ride back was about an hour and the road was a fair bit rougher for a good chunk of it. Nothing too bad, but significantly rougher than the way into the forest! Your shoes will get soaked as you will wear them in the water, so bring water shoes if you have them or just be prepared to have very wet shoes you'll have to dry out! I wore hiking pants with a bathing suit underneath which I would recommend. It is mostly shaded, but I'd still bring sunscreen. I had bug spray, but didn't need it. Bring a bunch of water (2 liters should do it). Overall, I highly recommend this tour. If you want a bit of a thrill, to learn about the local plants and wildlife, and get some swimming in, you will love this tour. It's nothing fancy, but it is genuinely so fun, and William is an amazing guide.
