Two Great Days with Rio Alternative Tours! - My wife and I booked two full day private tours and had a fantastic time! Luly and Vanessa were our guides and got us to all the requested sites we had planned with them when booking. They knew the best times to go to each location and were very flexible with the time we wanted at each. Each day a special treat was going to eat lunch at local restaurant with them where they know the owners and we had great meals! They shared history, culture and traditions while traveling between stops which added to the enjoyment. Thanks again Luly and Vanessa!!

Great Tour of Rio! - My wife and I hired Vincente for a day tour of Rio. Vincente is a very personable man and his laid back style is perfect for a relaxed tour. So why should you spend the money on him for the tour and what are the benefits? 1. He can book the tickets for the train up to Cristo Redentor in advance for you. Often as a guide, he can get you on a super early train which means that you are the first up to the top. 2. He knows the best place to sit on the train so that you get lots of legroom, are first off the train and thus first in the queue for the elevator and then first at the very top. 3. He knows exactly where you should stand to get the best photo of you and the statue. In any day there is about a 30-second opportunity to get this shot before lots of people come and it looks just like a crowd scene. 4. He’s very knowledgable and can answer all your questions throughout the day. 5. He tells you just about the right amount of stuff about a place without overload - or at least for us. 6. He drives around about the city so no hanging about waiting for taxis. 7. The tour follows a great route and you can see a lot very quickly; the cathedral, Museum of Tomorrow, world’s biggest graffiti (which is actually a fabulous work of art), Santa Teresa area, favela, and lookout for Lebon and Ipanema beaches. 8. He collects you and drops you back at your hotel. 9. If it’s a Saturday there is a super local farmer’s market that he takes you to for tastings and a wander. 10. It’s good value. We had 7 hours of his time and his car and for what we got and what we paid my wife and I were very happy.

Simply the best! - My husband and I had the tremendous good fortune to book a day tour of Rio with Vicente. Vicente is a fully registered tour guide and subject matter expert on all matters Rio de Janeiro. His approach, courtesy, intellect, knowledge and manner are all second to none. Vicente is painstaking in his attention to detail, entirely reliable and hugely good fun too. Most importantly he is interested in his travellers and works hard to tailor his tours to your liking. For us everything was simply perfect and we could not recommend him more highly. It is simply great that he is an integral part of the Rio society, meeting up with friends and associates in passing and making his guests feel as if they are part of the fabric of Rio. Vicente goes beyond his tour brief to ask about any further interests, recommending additional activities for his guests for which he has no gain or benefit, savebforvthevsatistaxtion of their pleasure. We visited Christ the Redeemer, the botanical gardens, the national park, saw sugar loaf, the stadium, the old town, Saint Teresa, Ronnie Biggs’ former home and hostelry and enjoyed fabulous food we wouldn’t have known about as solo visitors. Everyone we have spoken to has been genuinely envious of our superior experience, relative to theirs. The value for money, as well as quality experience, Vicente offers is honestly amazing. If you are keen to meet a truly lovely chap, who will work calmly but tirelessly to perfect your time, look no further. Vicente is a god send, a new friend and one of the best humans we have ever had the pleasure to meet. Thank you Vicente, we shall be back.

Rio Tour - Vicente was great. Highly recommend! We hit all the sites in Rio and had VIP access to purchasing tickets and parking everywhere we went. Next time I am in Rio I will likely do it all over again because we had such a great day.
