A must do if you’re in Rio!! - I booked as a solo traveller and I was worried about having to do this tour on my own, there turned out to be 2 of us on the tour but it would’ve been fantastic even if it had just been me. I cannot speak highly enough of the experience. Do not let the smaller number of reviews stop you from missing out.
I cannot speak highly enough of our guide. Camila is an incredible guide, she is so passionate and knows so much about everything in Rio and explains everything in so much detail it really adds to the experience of Rio and your understanding of it. She puts a lot of effort into making sure everyone is safe and okay throughout the trip as well. The tour flows so well and it never feels like too much walking or food, everything feels at a correct pace.
The visit to Santa Teresa was a highlight and an experience I’ll never forget and something I don’t think I would’ve done without this tour. It is great value for money even with the high price as there is so much food and drink to experience. You get to see so many things that are not part of the more typical tours and there is less of a rush and things are more relaxed if you want to stop and look at or buy something or take pictures.
This has been the highlight of my trip so far and I doubt anything will top it. I experienced so much that I would not have without this and things that I will never forget. Truly a must do in Rio and something you will regret not doing. 5/5!! Obrigado!

Rio - Don't think twice - Just do it!! - The tour guide Camila was amazing! They should give her a Raise!! She was super energetic, informative and was constantly watching out for my safety. She asked me in the beginning what "I" wanted to see or do and even reached out to me personally on Whatsapp and sent me a greeting in the morning. I thought that was such a great touch where she allowed me to tell her what I was most interested in and how we could tailor the tour a bit better. This is a walking tour so be ready to walk but she did wait for us and Camila is very popular within the people along the route. Every time we were walking locals or random people she would know would say hi and everyone was really friendly and never did I feel unsafe walking around.
We took the train, walked around, ate at different places, had friendly conversation, lots of laughs and also talked about different things that I saw that was similar to what I saw in Rio to my culture (Chinese).
We got to see different restaurants, local stores, local people, local artwork, different areas, the history, the sites, and tourist areas. We also visited a local spot which had an amazing view and less crowded than the Christ de Remedeer. Camila was sooo accommodating, caring, and helpful in explaining things.
I don't think that without this tour I would have been able to explore as many places and as many spots as I did that day. It was truly an amazing experience being my first time in Rio. If I had to do it again i would totally go on another tour with Camila.
I did a solo tour which is a bit more expensive since I didn't come to Rio with anyone but well worth the money paying that extra. Some tips for the tour "Bring a map". Only Camila would get this joke. Seriously though, Bring a water bottle, fan, or towel because it can get hot but there are spots that we stop at that do have air conditioning. Make sure to bring walking shoes and a bag so that you can buy things back and carry what you need. Make sure you allocate enough time to get there and if you have anything planned after to plan accordingly as the tour will depend on you and your endurance when it ends. I was surprised by the amount of places that took card it was insane. From the local person selling coconuts to the vendors selling souvenirs.
If you are thinking about exploring Rio, seeing the sites, exploring the culture, eating great food do not hesitate to book this trip. Btw Camila was super accommodating if you were specific about your diet or allegories to make sure what you tried was okay for you but keep that in mind when eating certain things. We also stopped to buy water or if someone wanted to stop at a stand to try something it was very flexible. I couldn't have imagined spending my day with anyone else. (I only had one full day for myself)
Can there is a part II to this tour?

A Great Tasing Tour to Get to Know Rio - Camila led an amazing tour in Rio with me and my son in March 2025. We saw so many hidden corners and areas of Rio that you wouldn't normally get to. We tried a ton a fruits and flavors of Rio and met a ton of interesting people. This is a good tour early in your trip to Rio to get to know the city and how to get around. You can hit the big sights another day. Highly recommend. Fun and lots to learn!

Our tour with Camila was... - Our tour with Camila was outstanding and we highly recommend! The tour has a great balance of food tastings, exploring different neighborhoods and learning about Rio and its culture. Camila is a fantastic tour guide - she has a wealth of knowledge that she shares with enthusiasm, and each place we stopped for food was selected for a reason, which Camila explained together with history of the business and the type of food or drink we were going to try. Camila was very attentive to our safety (taking care when crossing busy intersections, reminding us to keep our phones close when walking, etc), and adjusting for the weather. She was also very attentive to our food preferences and interests, which I really appreciated as a vegetarian. At one confectionary Camila saw me looking at the display case on the way out, and she immediately asked if I saw anything I was interested in and then extended our stop so that I could try the additional item.
This tour is great for vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike (we had both in our party).
We make food tours a regular part of our travel, and Camila’s really stood out - it is rare to visit so many different neighborhoods and learn so much about a big city while also discovering the food. This tour is exceptional.
It is a full day outing and we never felt rushed. The food sampling was well-paced throughout the day so we were never too full and never hungry.
The tour operator was also very good at communicating in advance via WhatsApp, providing a photo of Camila and all of the details on the meeting time and place.
Thank you Camila! And thank you GregTur company for having such an amazing guide and tour as part of your team!

Best tour in Rio - Hands down this was the best tour guide I’ve ever had! Camilla was friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. And the delicious food… I think I gained five pounds! Not only did we eat out way through Rio, but we saw so much along the way, too. We went to so many places. We took walks, taxis and a ride on the subway. A full day of food and fun. I highly recommend Camilla and this tour!

Made my trip—by far the best tour I’ve ever done - I’ve done a handful of tours over the years (in Japan, India, Hong Kong, Singapore) and while many of them were great and very memorable, this was far and away the best one I’ve done. Camila was so warm and open and I felt like I got to actually learn about her life in Rio—it went way beyond food (although everything was delicious too and not things I would have found on my own.) I cannot recommend this tour highly enough as a way to experience Rio. I felt so taken care of the entire day. Camila is truly wonderful and taking this tour has made my trip to Rio immeasurably better.

Phenomenal Tour - best ever! - I cannot say enough about how fantastic our food tour was with Camila! We were lucky and it it was only two of us on the tour, and Camila had Julio assisting her since he was learning the tour himself. Starting with our tour guide, Camila was so friendly and energetic, and shared so many fun details and facts about the places we stopped in or walked by and saw, as welll as the food and culture. We joked that it seemed everywhere we went everyone knew Camila. She made sure we were comfortable and had a good time. We ate and drank SO MANY THINGS! Açaí, both traditional and sweetened, fried bread cheese, fried chicken with traditional sauces, a beef sandwich with cheese and pineapple, cashew fruit juice, a coconut cream liquor, a chicken and cream cheese-like fried snack (coxinha), pastries of our choice at a famous bakery, cheese bread, a local beer, local candies, and a caipirinha cocktail. All while walking through sights in Copacabana, then subway to downtown to see the library, theater, cathedral view, aqueduct view, and other beautiful sights, then tram/taxi to Santa Teresa area with many more great sights including a great vantage point at a park, the Selina stairs and another great vantage point at the top floor of a very nice hostel. It was a jam-packed, super fun and filling 6 hours. Absolute best tour in Brazil that we went on and one of the top food tours across the world we’ve booked (we have been on dozens all over). Thank you Camila!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
