Excellent - We had a wonderful time. The drive is long but we felt the experience was worth it. Both of our guides David and Yovani (at the site) were excellent and knowledgeable. Copan was beautiful...the nature and history.

Copán Ruins - Awesome experience! The Copán Ruins were really great to see and was surprisingly big. The drive was long but pretty smooth, you’re totally able to sleep in the car. The tour was small so we felt we were attended to adequately by the guide. Border crossing was also a breeze with the help of the tour guide even with our limited Spanish. Be aware that you’ll get your passport stamped quite a few times (5-6) during this trip so make sure you have at least 2-3 pages free for stamps!

Well worth the drive to Copan! - Had an amazing trip to the Mayan ruins in Copan! Yes it is a long drive….. about 4 1/2 hours each way, but the ride through all three countries (El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras) was beautiful. Our guide Josué was outstanding and made the trip go smooth. His knowledge of the area and of the Mayan culture was incredible. Very comfortable van and border crossings went without any issues. I would highly recommend this tour!!

El Salvador and Copan Ruins Five Stars - We highly recommend El Salvador Positive Tours. They were responsive and accommodating to all our request. We were fortunate to have Gaby as our tour guide for this full day tour to Copan. The drive is very long - about 5.5 hours each way. But, it was well worth it. Gaby was an amazing driver and tour guide. During this excursion you must cross multiple countries and Gaby took care of all the logistics and made it seamless. Gaby was kind, funny, knowledgable and passionate about her country. Her English was perfect. She's a great photographer to help capture the moments. If you are thinking about visiting El Salvador and/ or the Copan Ruins DO IT! and when you do we recommend you use El Salvador Positive Tours. Thank you Gaby!

Stunning ruins and lovely tour guide - The Copan ruins are absolutely stunning! 😍 Our tour guide, Gaby, made the drive very comfortable. She stopped whenever we needed to and made the border crossing super simple. She took us to lunch at the most amazing, family owned restaurant. The best part was she explained el salvadors past and answered all of our questions. Highly recommend this trip and if tour lucky enough, you'll have gaby as your guide.

Excellent day trip to Copán - This was such an interesting and worthwhile tour! Gaby was the best guide and I enjoyed learning all about El Salvador from her. El Salvador is definitely a hidden gem! The tour is long but totally worth it. The macaws were beautiful at Copán. Border crossings were easy, too.

Copan is a must-see if you are interested in Mayan culture. - The communication before the tour via Whatsapp was excellent. Our tour guide Gabi picked us up punctually at 5 a.m. and brought us safely across two border crossings to Copan. After a great breakfast in the park restaurant, the local guide greeted us. The approximately 3-hour tour was definitely one of the best I've ever done. The guide is on the archaeological commission and knows the latest research results on the Mayan culture throughout Central America. Gabi then brought us safely back to the hotel. She is an excellent driver. I really recommend anyone interested to do this tour.

Great tip to see Copan - Wonderful tour. It's a long drive from San Salvador and you cross into Guatemala before Honduras. Gaby was an outstanding driver. She was knowledgeable about the trip and made sure that both border crossings went smoothly.

Great Day to Copan - Maybe the best day trip I've ever taken. It was me, my wife and a friend. We were picked up at out hotel in San Salvador at 5:00 to get an early start on the drive to Copan. Our guide, Francis, was fantastic. He was really into history and was great to talk with the entire time. It is a somewhat long drive but it went by very fast. Border crossings in Guatemala and Honduras were quick and easy. As for Copan, I am so glad we made the trip. Didn't know what to expect but we absolutely loved it, and if you are into birding, there are so many cool birds. After visiting Copan, we stopped for lunch in nearby Copan Ruins at a local restaurant. Food was amazing. Drove back arriving back at the hotel at sunset. Again, Francis is a great guide and made the whole trip fun and easy. If in El Salvador for a few days, I would highly recommend and don't let the long drive part deter you, it really wasn't that bad.
