A friendly tour of a bike friendly city - We usually like to do bike tours of cities in order to get an introduction. Copenhagen is perfect for bike tours as it is very bike friendly and Rene did not disappoint as he led us on an outstanding tour around the highlights of Copenhagen. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, and has a great sense of humor. I would unreservedly recommend the tour.

Do as the Danes do and see the city on two wheels! - Mariska, our guide, was wonderful! Shared many stories about Copenhagen’s history that helped bring it to life. So many fires and dragons. :-) The back pedal brake on the bike took a bit of getting used to, biking on cobblestones was a bit jarring, and the traffic a bit nerve wracking, but seeing Copenhagen by bike seems to be the thing to do! One person in our group fell at one point but thankfully was not badly hurt. Covered a lot of ground in the 3hrs with plenty of stops. Highly recommend.

Fun family activity - Our guide Mariska was terrific and not only showed us the key sites around the city but shared interesting background on each of them. The biking was fun, safe and a great way to get oriented to the city.

Fun Bike Tour that overviews Copenhagen well - Despite the rain we really enjoyed Derkja's guided tour for our group. The bikes were easy to ride and well maintained. They provided ponchos for the rain also. Having lived in different European countries, she had the unique perspective to be able to compare and contrast life in Denmark from the other places. Also, she was flexible to allow us to stop and take photos where we wanted with our family. Copenhagen was very beautiful to navigate by bike. We highly recommend this tour by Tropical Bikes.

Excellent, well-rounded survey of Copenhagen’s variety. - We chose this tour because I felt its route and sights were well-rounded. We were very happy with our choice! We got good information on the various neighborhoods and sights and restaurants. And this tour allowed us to get comfortable with the biking rules and etiquette, so we used bicycles to get around independently the rest of our stay in Copenhagen. We rode all over.

Informative and fun bike tour - Rene was a fantastic guide. Very knowledgeable and really interesting. I think 3 hours was a good length of tour to ensure we were able to catch most of the main sites around the centre of Copenhagen. Rene gave us information about other areas worth visiting which we weren’t able to catch on the tour. Really useful and we used this information the next day when we hired a bike by ourselves for the day.

Don’t sweat it! Be comfortable and eat well - Incredible! We got lucky with the most amazing weather; no rain or northern winds nor were we miserably hot and sweaty like the crowds trudging through Rome or Spain in summer. The highlight of our trip was Tivoli Gardens which was very pleasant on a Tuesday evening and very crowded when we went back on a Friday since a famous Danish pop star was performing a concert there that night. Our Tropical Bike tour guide Yous (??) was very knowledgeable and while it wasn’t as exciting locations as the bike tour we took in Paris, the best part was at the end when she gave our family a map she marked with a detailed itinerary of what we could do on our own bikes the next day. We ended up riding 10 hours with our kids (12, 10 & 9) to a playground, Nyhavn for ice cream, crossed the harbor and rode through Copenhell music festival to the amazing Reffen global street food venue, jumped on sidewalk trampolines, swam in the harbor, joined the crowds watching Denmark vs England in the Euro Championships, and then onto a late dinner. There are many great playgrounds in parks and so much good food everywhere (which was very much welcome after all beige food in Switzerland). Torvehallerne food hall had especially great selections.
