The marine region of the blue caves is home to the Mediterranean monk seal (monachus monachus), and Paxos island complex is part of the European initiative ΝΑΤURΑ 2000. Explore Antipaxos island, renowned for its sandy coves with blue waters often likened to those in the Caribbean. Catch a glimpse of the little islands of Skaltsonisi and Mongonisi. As we sail through the narrow channel of Paxos and pass the islands of Panagia and Agios Nikolaos, we drop anchor in the heart of Gaios village’s picturesque port. Take time to wander down Gaios’ delightful narrow streets, pay a visit to the souvenir shops, and enjoy a meal at one of the traditional tavernas.
