• Afionas - Immerse yourself in one of the island’s most traditional villages, rich in history and charm. Afionas is one of Corfu’s oldest settlements and is thought to be named after the local grape variety. Archaeological findings indicate that the village was first inhabited in the 6th century BC.

Wander through the stone paths (kadounia) of Afionas, where bougainvillea and jasmine drape over whitewashed walls, and the air is filled with the salty scent of the sea. Capture a photo of the old mansions, which have endured through the ages, and visit the church of Agios Ioannis Lampataro, built in 1636.
