A Perfect Way to See Corfu! - We were in Europe for a month and went on many tours. This was definitely one of our favorites. Our guide, Vasia, was so fun to be with. As we walked from one food/drink stop to another, she taught us about Corfu, its interesting history and architecture. We'd been warned not to eat breakfast and we were glad we followed that advice as there was plenty of food served in the next few hours. Our first stop, because it was early on our path, was a limoncello and kumquat liqueur tasting. We ended up going back there later in the day to make some purchases. We were served delicious pastries and coffee at a bakery, sausage tastings at a small local market, and a multi course lunch served family style at a restaurant. We followed all that for a gelato stop. Luckily this was spread over the course of several hours as these were full-size servings with the exception of the sausage tastings. I can't recommend this tour with more than five stars or I would. It was a perfect way to see Corfu's beautiful old town and while enjoying some the food it is known for.

Best tour of our trip - We had a fabulous time! Vasia taught us about her beautiful city, the food was delicious (and there was plenty of it!) and we enjoyed walking through the walled city with its quaint surroundings. We lucked out having such a fun host!

Excellent food tour and guide around Corfu town - We had an excellent time on our food and walking tour of Corfu town. Our guide, Aray (not sure if that's spelt correctly) was excellent. His knowledge of Corfu and Corfu history was top notch whilst still engaging and funny. There are several food stops along the route before lunch at a Taverna - be warned, there was a lot of food so I'd suggest you skip breakfast! We'd definitely recommend this tour and it was a perfect way to spend our first day in Corfu town.

One of the best tours we had on our whole trip!! - Months later, we are still talking about this tour we took during a cruise stop in early June. Luckily, the weather was beautiful. We met our tour guide right where our cruise bus dropped us off. You. Will. Not. Leave this tour hungry. They should put that as a guarantee! It was a private tour with my 6 family members. With 6 people, private tours are the best way to go. We really felt like we got to know our guide, and she was happy to answer questions not only of the history of the island but just questions about everyday life on the island! We first stopped at a pie place. Again, the weather was lovely, and they had us sitting outside on a very narrow street, which was fun seeing people on their vespas riding around. We noticed that we were tucked into these side streets away from the crowds, so we really felt like we were eating at some hidden gems on the island. We were pretty full and still had pies left. The first stop was a little long, but with most European places, you get used to the relaxed pace and help really enjoy the atmosphere. The next stop was a family own deli. The place was so photogenic so rustic I was in love with this little place. If we could bring cheese back to the States, I would have bought a whole wheel! We had a plate of meats and cheeses as our guide told us what each was used for. Locals walked by placing deli orders and buying dried beans. Our next stop took us into a busier section to a storefront that specialized in Kumquat. Jams, dried candied, and even liquor! I still have our bottle of kumquat creme liquor in my fridge waiting for a time to share with friends. They even had mixed drinks to go, which we could carry around with us to the next stop, which was great! Next was a sit-down meal with classics like moussaka but some new ones too. Everything was delicious. Our tour guide was so engaging and excited about the tour that it made the day fly by. Our last stop was a gelato shop that is one of the top gelato shops in the world. Feeling adventurous (and having eaten Gelato every day of our vacation), I went with the kumquat gelato. It tasted so fresh and had a candied kumquat on top. I talked about the food stops we made, but between each stop.we took a detour to something historic. I loved seeing the boats in the little port, and she told us once a year they play water polo in the port and the whole town gets involved. Mixing the history with modern use was a nice touch. Before departing, we got a few recommendations to shop, and we said bye to our guide. Highly recommend this tour with Bluetours next time you're in Corfu!
