- Kon/nou Zavitsianou 13 - Our cycling tour through the historical center and suburbs is an excellent way for families or solo travelers to explore some of the town’s most traditional areas and discover numerous hidden gems along this fantastic, off-the-beaten-path route. We will begin by cycling through the open fruit and fish market, where you can hear vendors loudly selling their fresh products and even sample some. Next, we will navigate the ‘labyrinth’ of narrow alleys in the old town, formed between 16th-century Venetian buildings, with photo stops at the most historical highlights while the city is still quiet. We will then ride to Kanoni to admire and photograph the 17th-century Vlacherna Monastery and watch planes landing at very low altitudes. Our journey continues to the exotic gardens of the famous Mon Repos, once owned by the former Greek royal family and the birthplace of Prince Philip of Great Britain. The tour concludes with a refreshing drink at the nicest café in the city. For guests who require transportation, arrangements can be made with pick-up times and costs provided upon request.
