Wonderful experience - We visited Corfu on Sept 13, as a stop on our MSC cruise. We only had a short time in port, and thought a few hours at a beach would be nice as we had been on the go for 10 days. This excursion was perfect, a nice break for us. The Travelco rep met us (6) at the cruise port and the shuttle van arrived promptly. We were a group of 6 and were the only ones on this excursion so it was private for us. Our driver, Dora, was a hoot. She was friendly and funny and made the 20 minute drive to the beach a pleasure. We got to the beach, checked in the the beach clud and were promptly given our beach beds, umbrella's and an ice bucket with cold water. The beach was wonderful, dark sand (which was hot), but it was the water of the Ionian Sea that was the star. Crystal clear and a shade of blue that was breathtaking. Clearest water I have ever seen. We spent a few hours on the beach and in the water. There was waiter service on the beach and a restaurant at the siite we took advantage of for some great food and drinks. Dora was at the beach on time to get us back to our ship in pleny of time. This was a special day that we will always remember. Would recommend it to anyone.

Beautiful beach - beautiful day - This was going to be a short excursion as our cruise ship was only in port for a short day and since we had spent so much time sightseeing, we felt (6 of us) that this would be a nice break. It was, and even more. We were met at the cruise port by the rep and a private van with a wonderful driver (Dora) took us to Glyfada Beach. We were given beach beds with umbrellas at a private beach club and were provided with ice and water. Waiter service was available for drinks and food which we took advantage of. The beach was beautiful with dark hot sand, but it was the water of the sea that made this so special. Crystal clear water. It was amazing. We swam, ate and drank and then promptly as promised, our driver Dora returned to take us back to our ship. We would recommend this to anyone looking for a fantastic beach break.

Glyfada Beach - Arrived in Corfu on NCL Star last week of July 2019. Booked trip in advance. Excursion representative was waiting when we got off the boat. Went to bus and waited to leave. Although we were supposed to leave at 10:30, some people were late getting of the boat (their own fault) so we waited close to 15 min. Bus a little warm but it was a very hot day. We arrived about 20 min late to Glyfada but it was worth waiting for. Very nice beach. Clean, warm water, some waves to make it interesting. Chairs very comfortable. The bus was delayed a half hour picking us up but that was fine with us as the beach was great and we wanted to stay. Made it back on time. Definitely worth doing. I note that NCL went to a different beach but I can't imagine it was better than Glyfada.

Best Family Beach So Far! - We did this trip yesterday, and everything went perfectly. Most important, Glyfada beach was amazing! Very clear water, clean soft sand, and a very gradual slope (about one meter deep for a nice distance out). Our beach lounges had a big umbrella and table, and we had excellent food and beverages served to us. Every kind of beach toy and ride was available to rent nearby. The toilets, showers, and changing rooms were fine. The beach was full of happy couples and families from many different countries, and the staff spoke perfect English. A great day at a great beach!

Perfect beach day - This was a great day. The beach club was very clean and well maintained. They had the chairs, towels and umbrella as promised. That also had lock boxes on the umbrella to use to secure your valuables so you could enjoy the ocean. That was a very pleasant surprise. The sand was soft and the water cool. The staff was very attentive. I would highly recommend this excursion.

Relax and Enjoy the Day - We enjoyed our beach trip which was about a half hour drive away. The beach was lovely and the beach club provided ice, water, soft drink, umbrella and comfortable lounges. We had about 3 hours there. On the beach we met up with the ship's tour group who paid about double the price for an hour less time at the same club! We found a massage place on the beach which gave a great couples massage for 85 euros for both of us nd was 50 minutes long. We were shown the way down to the beach by the bus driver and were given no further details. We were left at the top of a long hill which is very difficult to maneuver if you have breathing or knee issues. We called the company and they did come down the hill to pick us up for our return but I would talk to them beforehand if you have walking problems. There were many wasp like insects around so if you have sting allergies, be aware. All in all we enjoyed the day despite the inconveniences.

Good place to visit - The tour was a little disorganized because they combined groups from 2 different ships. The driver taking us to the beach got lost twice so it took extra long to get there. He dropped us off and we were left to find our own way to the place we were supposed to be. Once we figured that out, it was a very good day in the sun. We had water, sun beds and an umbrella included plus 1 soft drink. The staff at the Pazuzu was excellent, very attentive and we felt like our valuables were safe. The tour company sent a small bus for us as we had more time than the group from the other ship, so in the end they did make it right. It would be helpful to have someone there to show us where to go, but otherwise a really good getaway.

Some anxiety about being returned to the cruise ship on time - The pick-up at the port terminal building went smoothly. We waited in a charter bus for 25 mins for other guests to arrive. The drive was about 45 mins to the beach. The driver missed two turns and had to backtrack. When we arrived and he let us off, he indicated that our pick up time was 315 pm. Given that we were supposed to be back at the cruise ship for 330 pm, we all said "what?": The driver (whose English was limited) then said "ok ok 245 pm". We did not have a good feeling about his commitment to have us back to the ship by 330. Upon walking down to the beach, there is not Travelco rep to indicate which block of beds were ours so we were confused for 5-10 mins until a rep from the beach asked "are you the travelco group?". Once we knew where we could sit, we started enjoying the gorgeous beach. However, still concerned about the trip back, I asked one of the beach reps if he had a contact for Travelco and I explained our situation. He left and said he would look into it. About 90 mins later at 1320, the rep returned and indicated that a bus would be sent for us at 1400. This was a much better pick-up time and i was thankful for the beach rep who chased this issue down for us. Frankly, I had thought he forgot about us. So while the beach experience was very nice, the logistics need some work. If the price for a cruise-related excursion was not too much higher; i would opt for the security of an excursion booked with the cruise line.
