• Ancient Corinth (Archaia Korinthos) - In 400 BC, the city had a population of 90,000. Its strategic location at the crossroads of east and west, along with its fertile land, made it significant. It was also steeped in ancient myths, including the tale of Sisyphus. The devotional area of Isthmia hosted games, including the Olympics. The Romans eventually destroyed the ancient city and built a new one in its place. Saint Paul also visited and wrote letters to this city.
• Corinth Canal - As we traverse the Isthmus, we pause to admire the engineering marvel that finally connected the Gulf of Corinth with the Saronic Gulf - the Corinth Canal. Completed in 1893, the concept for the canal dates back to at least 602 BC!

Visit Ancient Corinth and the Corinth Canal. The location of countless ancient myths, like the myth of Sisyphus and there were games like the Olympics held in the devotional area of Isthmia.
