Getting underneath the surface and enjoying it! - Noel was an excellent guide. His own life and experience of Cork drives such a love of the town, its history and its people, and it comes across. We learned so much in such a short time. From the extraordinary topography, built on top of water, to older history such as rebellions and immigration of the Huguenots, to the hosting of international political and entertainment giants... on and on! Many significant locations - loved the English Market! And then the current picture of a relatively prosperous community which is noticeably caring about refugees. If only the UK would show that same compassion!

Well worth doing - Very interesting, we wouldn't have appreciated the history if we had toured on our own, the guide didn't bombard us with dates but told us all the interesting bits which brought the town to life
