What a gem! - I had never heard of this place until a friend told me. Made the trip and so glad I did. This place is amazing! So much to learn and see! And honestly, one of the most quiet museums I’ve ever been to. It was great! Highly recommend!

Outstanding visit - The museum was amazing! A bit overwhelming as there is so much to see. Seeing glass throughout the ages was fabulous and the current exhibits were fascinating. Even had a wonderful sandwich at the snack bar. Truly an outstanding visit.

Great way to spend 1/2 day! - The Corning Museum of Glass was a lot of fun with my 4 boys ages 4-13. We spent about 4 hours there and then almost another hour at the studio doing sandblasting. The highlights were the demonstrations performed in 4 different places- they were great! We especially enjoyed one of the later, less busy presentations - they were very interactive and showed the kids properties of glass at different temperatures and thicknesses to answer questions after making a really cool bowl. There was a teen scavenger hunt my son did on his own and the other kids enjoyed trying to find the luchador masks which was a challenge presented to kids at the museum.

Worth the visit - I really enjoyed the visit. There is a bit of everything. You can learn from the beginning of glass in a very museum traditional way, and there is a very interactive part where not only the kids were having fun, adults also enjoyed it. There are different types of demonstrations regarding glass sculpture which I thought were great. And in the shop you can find hand made things or very commercial everyday things. I recommend to have a sweater or jacket because it can get very cold inside.
