Playa De Ajuy - Walk to the breathtaking Ajuy caves, the oldest formations in the Canary Islands. These caves are part of Fuerteventura’s basal complex, formed by submarine lava and sediment flows that surfaced to create the island 100 million years ago during the Cretaceous period. The rocks emerged from a depth of 3,000 meters, forming the base that now supports this island and Lanzarote. The caves hold significant geological and paleontological importance and are among the 150 primary geological sites worldwide. Visiting them is like traveling back to the origins of Fuerteventura and the Canary Islands.
Pierre:
• The walk to Ajuy caves is a prime example of nature’s wonders.

Mirador Sicasumbre - Located about 300 meters above sea level, the Sicasumbre Viewpoint is one of the island’s best spots for sky-gazing. The area’s beauty is complemented by the viewpoint’s facilities, including informative signage and mounts for cameras and telescopes. Pierre says: A panoramic and stunning viewpoint on clear, cloud-free days. We will stop here if weather conditions are favorable.

Pierre: Did you know the Protected Landscape of Vallebrón is located between La Oliva and Puerto del Rosario in northern Fuerteventura? It is a geomorphological entity representative of the island, with great landscape value, covering nearly 1,680 hectares, representing 3.5% of the island’s protected area. We will stop here if weather conditions are favorable.
