Pierre: Did you know the Protected Landscape of Vallebrón is located between La Oliva and Puerto del Rosario in northern Fuerteventura? It is a geomorphological entity representative of the island, with great landscape value. Covering nearly 1,680 hectares, it represents 3.5% of the island’s protected area. Vallebrón features a landscape characterized by an elongated ridge with a knife-edge relief, flanked by two large U-shaped ravines, Valle Largo and Valle Chico.

- Pajara - Pájara is one of Fuerteventura’s oldest towns and an early settlement of Betancuria. It survived the complete destruction during the Arab invasion of 1593, when Betancuria was reduced to dust. The town is named after the hen pheasant, as depicted on its coat of arms.
Enjoy the sights along this beautiful route with insights from our local guide.
- Tuineje - Beyond beaches, landscapes, and gastronomy, Fuerteventura offers much more to discover. The largest island in the archipelago boasts numerous places with unique character, such as the picturesque village of TUINEJE, rich in history.
Known for its tomato cultivation and the Doctor Who series, it is also famous for hosting the monthly camel market and the heaviest battle in Majorero history, the battle against the English in the 19th century.
- Caleta de Fuste - Caleta de Fuste and its “campo de Golfs” is the second-largest holiday resort in Fuerteventura.

- La Florida - The houses of La Florida are surrounded by gavias in extensive and arid plains, with a nearby well collecting rainwater from the La Florida ravine. Some houses lack roofs, while others hold unique ethnographic value, showcasing different construction methods for roofs and room distribution, including remnants of an old bakery.
In the Synod Constitutions of Bishop Pedro Dávila y Cárdenas, a parish census was created in 1737. The bishop counted 320 residents for the parish of Tuineje, with 160 families in the town (Tuineje) and the rest in surrounding areas, including Tiscamanita with 119, Tesejerague with 36, La Florida with 31, and Adeja and Cardoquemado with only 8. These censuses helped identify area inhabitants and track sacrament recipients in relation to parishes.
- Molino de Tefia - The agricultural prison colony of Tefía was a concentration camp during the Franco dictatorship, located in the village of Tefía, part of the municipality of Puerto del Rosario. It operated from 1954 to 1966, incarcerating ordinary and political prisoners and re-educating male homosexuals. It was also the site of the first airport (1930) and the arrival of the first tourists.
