Highlights
  • Corcovado National Park - The Best Experiments to Fall in Love with Nature.

The one-day Corcovado hike will take you to the heart of the National Park. You’ll have the opportunity to observe sea wildlife during your boat ride. Upon arrival at the park, another adventure begins as we search for wildlife.

Corcovado National Park is home to various species of tapirs, monkeys, peccaries, birds, and much more. The park’s incredible biodiversity makes it one of the best options to experience the natural beauty of Costa Rica.

The tour starts from Puerto Jiménez with a 1.5-hour boat ride to Sirena Station. You’ll spend approximately five hours walking in the park, exploring its diverse trails, which include deep rainforest paths and beach trails.
At the Sirena Biological Station, a delicious traditional Costa Rican lunch will be waiting for you.

  • Golfo Dulce - Our tour begins at 5:20 am from the Puerto Jiménez Dock located in the Golfo Dulce, where you can witness unique sunrises, and on many occasions, you can also see the Baru Volcano located in Panama. During the boat ride, you will observe whales and dolphins, as well as turtles (whales from July to November only). The Golfo Dulce is a designated marine sanctuary for humpback whales, the only one in Latin America. Here, the whales come to give birth from July to November, which is their southern migration. We recommend bringing small cameras and cell phones to record these spectacular marine animals. It is important to mention that the marine animal sightings are included in the tour price, so there will be no extra charge. After leaving the Golfo Dulce, you will have the opportunity to sail in the Pacific Ocean until reaching Corcovado National Park.

Sirena Station, 5 Hours in the Park - We had a great time with our guide Danny, who spoke english fluently and could answer even the most specific questions. The boat ride from Puerto Jimenez was exciting with several dolphin sightings. Due to Danny‘s well trained eyes, we were able to see animals which you don‘t always come across. I would recommend.

Highly recommended - This was one of the excursions we liked the most in Costa Rica, Jairo is a great professional and very nice, he told us a lot about Corcovado and Costa Rica in general and we saw many animals, even two tapirs. The park is beautiful. The food they gave us was great. We would repeat without hesitation.

Unforgettable experience, open-air zoo - Jairo is an excellent guide, originally from the Osa peninsula (where Corcovado Park is located), very well informed in explaining information about the different animals and plants that one observes on the tour, and with a great eye for spotting different animals. It is clear that he likes his job, getting excited when he sees different, more exotic animals, worrying about going to see some less common species that other colleagues inform him that they saw in certain parts of the park. With it we were able to see sloths, the 4 species of Costa Rican monkey, toucans, tapir, a boa constrictor (the best), lizards, a Tolomuco and many birds. And the best thing is that since it is a small group, it is easier for everyone to see them in detail with the telescope you have. The only problem I see, but which is not Jairo's problem but rather tourism in general in Costa Rica, is that the prices are excessive for Latin American tourists, and are designed for American and European tourists. In any case, I think the tour with Jairo is 100% worth it if you can afford it, I would always recommend it and it was an unforgettable experience with my partner :)

Fantastic tour with a great guide! - The Corcovado tour with Jairo was definitely the highlight of our entire Costa Rica trip. He welcomed us warmly and impressed us with his incredible knowledge. We could feel his joy in nature and animals at all times. We were able to see more animals than we had on our entire trip (tapirs, crocodiles, sloths, anteaters, coatis, monkeys and many more). We also saw a number of dolphins on the boat trip. The included lunch was also delicious. We can highly recommend the tour, and especially Jairo as a guide, to everyone!

Many animals are seen in their habitat. - We left the Botanika - Hilton hotel in Puerto Jimenez on Monday at 5am towards the dock where a boat was waiting for us as well as the guide. The tour lasted 1 hour and a half. We had breakfast on the boat because food or disposable containers cannot be brought in. We were met by a parks official who received our suitcase and we checked in. During disembarkation, your shoes may get wet, so carry your walking shoes in the park in your backpack. The changing facilities and bathrooms are in very, very poor condition. Once we all changed, we started along the path that the guide chose and at the beginning we saw some wild pigs. This was the case throughout the morning as we walked different trails. One crosses paths with different groups, ours was 5 people, and information is exchanged about the animals seen, which are many: sloth bears, 4 species of monkeys, coatis, tapirs, peacocks, various birds, insects. , turtles etc. Then we went around 11 to have lunch at the park facilities where they gave us a good lunch suitable for vegetarians, as is our case. The entire terrain is flat and in total I think we hiked for 3.5 hours. When the tide returns, it has gone very low and you have to go into the sea with the water up to your knees. An elderly person fell due to stones. Help is needed and water shoes are advisable rather than flip flops. They hadn't told us. On his way back, the boatman spotted some dolphins and turned around to see them. Each guide brings his telescope to better see the bears especially and take photos.
