• Irazu Volcano National Park - Our tour kicks off in San José and nearby areas at 07:00 AM. We take a direct route to the volcano, enjoying stunning valley views along the way. Our guide will share intriguing facts about local lifestyles and traditions. Upon arrival, we’ll tour the main crater, see the primary lagoon, and learn about the volcano’s history from our guide.

After exploring the main crater, we head to the park’s highest point (3,432 meters above sea level), the second highest in Costa Rica.

This active volcano is one of Costa Rica’s most beautiful. On clear days, you can see the entire central valley and the central volcanic mountain range, which includes four volcanoes. With excellent weather, you might even spot Lake Nicaragua, about 200 kilometers away.

• Santuario Nacional Nuestra Senora de Los Angeles - The Basilica of the Angels is one of Costa Rica’s most significant basilicas. Our tour includes the pilgrimage site, church museum, and holy water fountain, where you can drink holy water, see the discovery stone, and admire the church’s interior.

This church offers a remarkable experience with its European architecture and Gothic design, which is very appealing to tourists.

• Museum of Costa Rican Art - We’ll visit the stunning Costa Rican Art Museum, housed in the former San José airport.

The museum features over 110 works by Costa Rican artists. We’ll also visit the Golden Hall, which narrates Costa Rica’s history from pre-Columbian times, and enjoy views of La Sabana Metropolitan Park.

• Morazán Park - Our tour includes a visit to the beautiful Morazán Park, rich in history and interesting facts.

We’ll also see historic city buildings like the Pink School, Yellow House, and Youth Development Center, all important government structures.

• Parque Nacional - Our journey continues to San José National Park, home to significant monuments like the Battle of Rivas statue, commemorating our fight against northern continent rebels. We’ll also see the statue of national hero Juan Santamaría and important buildings like the Congress of the Republic, National Registry, and Supreme Court of Elections.
• Central Market (Mercado Central) - No tour is complete without visiting San José’s vibrant Central Market, featuring over 300 stores selling food, alternative medicine, clothing, and various goods.

This market is a true representation of Costa Rican culture, offering insights you might not expect about our country.

• Metropolitan Church (Catedral Metropolitana) - To conclude our tour, we’ll walk from the Central Market to the Metropolitan Cathedral, passing through San José’s central park. We’ll see the Melico Salazar Theater and visit the province’s most important church.
• Teatro Nacional Costa Rica - Our final stop is the city’s gem, the National Theater of Costa Rica. This beautiful 19th-century building, inspired by Spanish designs, was constructed by notable French, Costa Rican, and Spanish architects.

We’ll tour the main lobby of the National Theater, and optionally, you can enjoy a coffee at the country’s most prestigious café.

We will be able to walk through one of the 3 main craters, and after the tour we will go to the highest point of the National Park, which is also the second highest point in Costa Rica, then we will descend the volcano to visit the most important church in Costa Rica.
