Great day trip - Although there is a lot of driving, you do see much of the beautiful countryside and many of the local sites. Our guide was excellent and made a huge amount of difference in terms of understanding how things work and what the country is like.

Worth the money - Loved the volcano even though the weather didn’t cooperate. Leni was a great guide and had a lot of knowledge about the places we visited. Thank you !

A lovely experience - From the time the Guide picked us up to the end of the activity it was super attentive and very friendly. We explained several places and enjoyed the beautiful views of Orosi Valley. The Ruins and also a rich meal at the Cafetal. I recommend it.

Amazing cultural experience with a very knowledgeable tour guide - We had Hayro as our tour guide. We highly recommend him! He was extremely knowledgeable and an excellent driver. His van was very clean and well kept. We learned a lot about the culture of Costa Rica, along with its flora and fauna. We got lucky and got to see Irazu 's volcanic crater before the clouds came in and the restaurant overlooking a lake was absolutely incredible both in food quality and location.

Get out of town - Great day! I really got out of town to see the real CR, volcano, chill in the air, fog cover, farms everywhere with coffee and produce, churches, and the ruins. Gorgeous landscape with tiered gardens.....a very special day!

Head in the clouds--LITERALLY! - Our tour guide Lenny was amazing! We were fortunate enough to have a private tour with her which made our experience that much better. She was very friendly, knowledgeable, and kind. There was never a dull moment she made sure to make us feel welcomed throughout the tour. During our lunch she let us have privacy to ensure my Wife and I had a romantic lunch at a very scenic location. Highly recommend this tour to anybody who wants to see a lot of what Costa Rica has to offer. P.S. the volcano is above the clouds, how awesome is that?

Excellent tour for all ages - Our guide was excellent. He had so many interesting facts to tell us. He flawlessly went from Spanish to English. We would definitely take any other tour he leads.

Beautiful landscapes - Impressive landscapes and excellent attention from Chuy. Although the view of the Volcano crater depends a lot on the weather, the site is well worth a visit. The view from the Osori Valley is beautiful and the lunch place is truly magical, in addition to the food being very delicious. 10/10

Fun Filled Day with Great Views - Overall the tour was okay. We ended up sitting on the bus for close to two hours while picking up other members of the group. Although I understand that it takes time to pick up multiple people, it required us (as the first passengers) to be picked up right at 6:00am. The tour information mentions a light breakfast will be provided, which would have worked for us since we left our hotel prior to the hotel breakfast start time. A light breakfast was NOT provided to us and we were required to cut into our volcano hike time to purchase breakfast for our kids who were starving by the time we got there. The time at Irazú was nice, as well as the botanical gardens and lunch was average. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. I feel the whole day was a little rushed, but overall a positive experience. Please keep in mind that the mentioned time allotments for each activity are not accurate. You will have about an hour at the volcano. An hour at the botanical gardens, a quick 15 minute photo op at Basilica de Los Angeles and a 15 minute photo op at Ujarra Ruins. I suggest updating the time frames for each activity in the tour description so guests can plan accordingly and have an accurate expectation for each activity.

A drive you can probably do on your own - The top of the volcano was great to see, if you haven't seen the top of a volcano before, however, this was essentially a drive with a friendly driver, not really a 'tour' . the driver was very friendly and helpful and I don't want to say anything bad about it, but it was not really a 'tour' with a 'tour guide' therefore, the price is very high for essentially a friendly driver and probably $30 worth of breakfast and lunch. If you have a car you can definitely drive to it and see the volcano on your own, just be prepared for a long wiggly drive, but on well prepared roads. And we only 'drove by' The Ujarras Ruins . They were 'apparently closed' , but no verbiage or description of the history was provided...we just drove by them.
