Excellent tour and guide - Excellent and very knowledgeable guide!  We spent the morning with Roy in the cloud forest in a small group of 6 people.  The weather wasn’t kind to us and we were drenched and cold but Roy still managed to point out a number of animals and share with us a huge amount of knowledge about the forest, fauna and the history of the park itself.  I’d highly recommend this tour and Roy

Great guide with Roy’s to see lots in Monteverde! - Even though we had rain throughout our tour, our guide was upbeat and still managed to find lots of animals and birds for us to see…. Even the quetzal! Definitely recommend a very good rain jacket or heavy duty poncho and hiking boots or shoes you don’t mind getting wet and a bit muddy. Would definitely recommend going with a guide to this park!!

If you visit the cloud forest, I recommend to book this tour - I’m so happy we booked this tour. I was hoping to learn about the forest and its ecosystem and this was fulfilled beyond my expectations. Also my teenagers liked the tour a lot. Our guide was professional in the content, but was also very good with people. He knew so much, he was passionate about the nature and we felt so welcome with our questions. The maximum size of the group is eight persons, wich I feel to be small enough.

Roy is the man - We had an absolutely amazing tour with Roy. Could not have asked for a better guide and he made the experience magical! We saw a resplendent quetzal (I was DYING to see one), emerald toucanet, black guan, Costa Rica warbler, mountain thrush, tarantuala, bats, howler monkeys and much more! I would have been happy to pay double what he charges for how informative and fun he was. 10/10 thank you so much for putting up with me and my mother all morning Roy! Pura Vida!

Awesome - Our guide Roy is very experienced and knowledgeable and he found a sloth, tarantula, monkeys, green toucan and quetzal, as well as other wildlife and fauna. The humming bird gallery is also a very worthwhile visit

Not for wildlife tours - The tour itself was good. My expectation was completely different. Our guide was great at explaining the flowers and plants. My kids wanted NOTHING to do with it though. We ended the tour early due to lack of seeing wildlife again, nothing to do with the tour itself, but the actual park.

Very good and fun tour - Roy gives a good tour. We saw lots of birds, including a Quetzal and a tucon, and a sloth and white faced monkey. He has a good sense of humor and is very knowledgeable about the park, its plants and animals.

A Bit Disappointing - The tour got off to a late start which was frustrating as we all huddled at the bus stop waiting for the shuttle. Do not expect to see a lot of wildlife. The guides were knowledgeable but not personable.

Terrible experience - I ended up not going on the tour. The tour was supposed to start at 1:00. P.m.. Roy, the tour guide Roy did not show up. Instead there was Kevin who kept waiting and waiting for God knows what. Finally at around 1:25 we got frustrated and left. I have been asking for a refund and have not received any response.
