Family trip to Paos and La Paz - Luis and Juan Jose our tour guide and driver were fantastic. They paid attention to detail and made sure we got to see everything. The kids really enjoyed the trip too.

Great company, great tour! - A&e tours travel made our trip! If it wasn’t for them we wouldn’t have seen half the stuff we did. They had great communication (whats app and trip advisor messenger) and they helped us coordinate everything we needed and found the tours that checked off the sites we Wanted to see. Our tour guide and driver were excellent (Yojhan and Rolando). The la Paz waterfall garden was beautiful, very open and so cool to see the local animals so closely and your right next to the waterfalls. Would recommend ANY tour by A&e travel as they will work and communicate with you for a unique and memorable trip. We did a grey line tour our first day and then an A&e tour our second day, after using them we stayed with A&e exclusively because it was sooo much better and they were so Helpful. Thank you for making our time on Costa Rica memorable and special! -Amber & Sean

Poor View of Volcano/La Paz Worth a Visit/Drive Carefully! - 1st of all I must say that we did NOT take this tour as planned because Viator, the tour operator, CANCELLED it the day before, even though it was booked weeks ago. In fact it was the 2nd tour in Costa Rica I booked with them that they cancelled. DO NOT USE THEM!! Given that the entire reason we left our 1st hotel in the south and came to the San Jose area on our last day before leaving Costa Rica, was to visit those 3 sites, we decided to still do Poas and La Paz on our own (skipped coffee plantation). With the help of our 2nd hotel's concierge, we were able to still get Poas tickets the night before. YOU MUST MAKE AN ONLINE RESERVATION at least one day before! No walk-up entries! Very hard to figure out how to enter the property by car, where to park, and then where to enter. The emailed confirmation/receipt addressed none of that. Be prepared to wait in a long car line - arrive 1 hour before your scheduled entry time. Needs much better signage! Surprisingly, after our experience at 3 other parks, the staff here spoke little to no English. Ultimately I'd say it was just ok, because the volcano is obscured by gasses due to 2019 eruptions, 2nd crater/lagoon not visible for same reason, and nicer? path through the woods closed for same reason. Visitors asked to limit their time on the viewing platform to 20 min. We did know it would be obscured before we went, so it was what it was. It was cool to look *down* on the cloud forest, though. It was a lovely drive up there, countryside/flora looked surprisingly & suddenly very European, even the architecture. From there we went to La Paz Garden (really a small zoo that's part of a resort) and it was suddenly very cloudy and much colder! A light coat or rain jacket would have been helpful. 5 magnificent waterfalls! But A LOT OF CLIMBING, PROBABLY SEVERAL HUNDRED WET, SLIPPERY STAIRS. Do not recommend if you're not wearing grippy-soled shoes, or can't walk well. No way to push a stroller (you can in the zoo part, but not the falls paths & stairs). The zoo, which displays only indigenous birds, butterflies, snakes, frogs, and mammals, supposedly has only rescued animals, former "pets", etc., nothing captured from the wild - though they are breeding/raising some, too. Good exhibits, cool to see sloths, birds, & frogs, that one couldn't see (except through a guide's scope) on other national park tours (certainly not the big cats). Very dangerous/scary driving back down the mountain through the clouds. Imagine the heaviest fog you've ever been in - like a white-out. Overall I'm giving only a 3 star rating because we are so disgusted with Viator, and the falls were obscured.

VERY IRRESPONSIBLE COMPANY - This company is a fraud, we reserved from Mexico, we arrived in Costa Rica and when we arrived to the national parks they did not let the group of tourists to enter. They never gave us our money back!!

Definitely a TOURIST TRAP!!! - This is a combination of misleading information, poor service, and an extremely high price. Please be advised that the description is extremely misleading. Really disappointing!
