• Poas Volcano National Park - Our journey begins on the Pan-American Highway heading towards Alajuela. Along the way, we’ll pass by the Agriculture Monument, the Monument to Juan Santamaria, and the popular Mango Park.

Next, we’ll arrive at Poas Volcano National Park, where we’ll have 20 minutes to marvel at the impressive main crater with its sulfur fumaroles, as per the National Volcanic Security Bureau.

• San Pedro de Poas - After visiting the volcano, we’ll enjoy a delicious lunch at Doka Coffee Plantation. We’ll then continue our journey through fern, flower, and strawberry farms, taking in the beautiful scenery.

As we descend from Poas Volcano, we’ll stop to learn about Costa Rica’s unique and flavorful coffee, often referred to as the golden bean. We’ll visit a coffee plantation to learn the traditional techniques used by experts to produce some of the best coffee in Costa Rica and the world. We’ll explore the careful process of cultivating, harvesting, and roasting the golden bean, and finally, we’ll savor the exquisite product.

• Grecia - Our third stop is the town of Grecia, known as one of the cleanest towns in Latin America.

• Sarchi - Our final stop is the town of Sarchi, famous as the cradle of Costa Rican artisans.

This tour takes us to the unforgettable active Poas Volcano; across coffee plantations and scenic vistas, and then into the heart of the artisans´ workshops in Sarchi. This is the best experience of the combination of the whole process of coffee and the natural landscape of the Poas Volcano National Park and the experience of visit the artisans handicrafts town of Sarchi. The third stop is the town of Grecia, considered one of the cleanest towns in Latin America. Grecia is home to one of the only Metal Churches in Central America. The church is a national monument that fills its inhabitants with pride. The last stop along the way is the town of Sarchi, known as the cradle of Costa Rican artisans. Here we will take in the artistic work of the local artisans, as they create the famous typical oxcarts.
