‘Celeste’ in Spanish translates to heavenly, paradise-like, as well as the light blue shade of a clear sky. Such descriptors aptly reflect the region you will be exploring in this tour.
Situated on the outskirts of the Tenorio Volcano National Park, this tour involves a 7 km trek leading you to a spot where two transparent streams merge, their waters turning a striking shade of aqua blue, aptly named Celeste. The journey continues towards ‘the pots’, which are cavities laden with clay believed to have healing properties, and the warm springs of the Tenorio Volcano. The path moves on through the forest, ultimately leading to the stunning waterfall known as Rio Celeste.
Throughout the tour, the neighboring jungle teems with diverse life, tantalizing smells and awe-inspiring sounds.

The fortunate journey to sugar bread mountain - It’s hard to put in words how amazing this tour was. Isaac took a simple hike to volcano Arenal and turned it into an unforgettable journey, filled with local history and education on the biodiversity that Costa Rica offers, and ended with us resting at the base of the volcano on naturally formed lava formations.
His knowledge of the history and natural ecosystem captivated our family and made this truly the best guided tour we have ever been on. We returned to our starting point to be welcomed with fresh cut fruit.
I am not sure how we were so fortunate to have Isaac as our guide, but we are so thankful we did. Pura Vida at its finest for sure.

Amazing experience!!! Definitely recommend! - The tour my family went on was absolutely amazing! We hiked lava trails and up and down the mountain to get an amazing view of the Arenal Volcano. Our guide Issac was extremely knowledgeable and told amazing stories throughout the hike to keep us intrigued. He knew things about the different animals and plants we encountered as well as the history behind the land. (and it wasn’t boring history it was actually pretty cool). I definitely recommend this tour!

Amazing views - The views were amazing and our tour guide Issac was extremely knowledgeable. Highly recommend using Glass Frog and asking for Issac to be your guide.

Amazing experience - Isaac the guide and Estevan the driver did a phenomenal job with us.
Isaac is a US Marine Corp veteran who not only has amazing stories but also extreme passion about the environment, we really enjoyed his guidance and company.
Estevan is very friendly and patient, and complemented Isaac beautifully, they are a great team, and we highly recommend them for your trip and activities.

A must do!! - We stayed at Noah’s Forest by Tifakara and booked all adventures through them as well as our private transportation to and from the airport. Glass Frog drivers were the best!!! So knowledgeable, friendly, and will stop to show you local wildlife and ensure you get your photo ops taken care of. It was so nice to have transportation taken care of so we only had to show up for our adventures.
I’d highly recommend the La Fortuna waterfall, hanging bridges, and Arenal volcano combo. Cool, clear water for a refreshing swim to start the day. Then you trek back up the stairs to hop on the bus for your next adventures: hanging bridges and Arenal volcano. Simply breathtaking views. A must do!!

Top-notch tour company and guide - My 8yr old, husband and I did a hike just below Volcán Arenal with our wonderful guide Isaac. He made the trek fun and interesting for all of us - from my seasoned-climber husband to my first-time hiker son. Isaac was very knowledgeable about the local plants and animals, and equally well-versed in the area’s geography and history. Isaac was patient and kind with my 8yr old, making time to show him his spotting scope, let him use the equipment and understand it, and ask many questions. After our hike, we had fresh watermelon and pineapple waiting for us. We have enjoyed a lot of adventure travel, but this was the first time with our son and we couldn’t have had asked for better experince.

Volcano and Fortuna Waterfall tour with Isaac - We loved our tour with Isaac! The hike around the volcano was perfect -not too strenuous and we leaned a lot about the volcano’s history and got to see the volcano pretty close up. We enjoyed the fresh fruit break before heading to the Fortuna waterfall. There are a lot of steps down to the waterfall but they are very safe and you can take your time. Swimming at both waterfall spots was the highlight for my teens. We were allowed to take our time and really enjoy the beauty and cool off in the water for a while. We finished the tour with a nice traditional Costa Rican lunch that was healthy and delicious. A really special and memorable day!

Fantastic tour and fantastic guide! - We booked this through our resort, The Springs. Isaac was our guide and the entire thing was fantastic. Isaac and the driver were both great. Isaac was incredibly knowledgeable and so friendly and such a great guide. Get him to tell you some stories… He's got some great ones. The tour itself is good. The hike is interesting and can be is harder easy as you make it. The waterfalls were breathtaking and well worth the effort. Would absolutely recommended and do it again. Gonna use our photo w Isaac as our Christmas card!
