Great experience! - Our tour guide, Minor, was great! Very informative about the culture and history of the area. The coffee/chocolate tour was fun and delicious. The sloths stole our hearts. There were birds and frogs and a few snakes along our path. It rained on our day, but we had packed ponchos so still enjoyed everything. Lunch was amazing with authentic food and wonderful views of the volcanoes in the distance. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. It was a great experience.

DO NOT MISS - This tour was fun and informative and amazing! I learned so much about coffee and chocolate. We saw a baby sloth right in front of us. We were told that the babies only come down once a week to poop lol so we were very lucky. We also saw numerous poisonous frogs and snakes and beautiful lizards. For the frogs and sloths portion, our tour guide Stephanie was so good. The guides there helped wildlife up in the trees and even knew how to use our cell phones to take close-up pictures using the binoculars. I was impressed with the knowledge , they had and the amount of wildlife we got to observe

Highly Recommended Day Trip! - Our family loved this day excursion! The ride from Tamarindo was long, but our driver Nes kept us engaged and excited for our adventures! The coffee and chocolate tour was fantastic and delicious! Fabian was a wonderful guide! However, the highlight of our day was the sloth and frog hike in the rainforest. Our guide, Samuel, was amazing! He was able to point out several frog species, including a bright red thumb nail sized poison dart frog! Samuel also pointed out several sloths, including one that was literally right above our heads! It was a great day had by all! Thank you to Nes, Fabian and Samuel!

Amazing tour! - This adventure was way beyond our expectations with Rosbin as our guide. The chocolate/coffee tour was informative and fun...great chocolate and coffee! We loved Rosbin and Marcos enthusiasm. The trip and lunch in the rainforest was AMAZING! We truly enjoyed it. We have so many pictures of animals, including a baby sloth! We appreciate Rosbin spending all day with us and answering our several questions. He's a gem!

What a beautiful country - It was a fantastic time. The coffee and chocolate experience was delicious and there was a good number of insects, birds, as well as a couple of sloths and other animals. I would recommend it. The guide and local guides were fantastic and the lunch was good as well. It felt much more authentic than what we had been eating on the resort.

Beautiful, excellent, but fast.. - The coffee- chocolate tour was an absolutely incredible experience! Our guide, Richard, made it the best experience we could have received! His knowledge was unbeatable and his humor excellent! Let alone tasting the coffee and chocolate!! The wildlife tour, with our guide Stephanie, was just life changing! Her unquestionable knowledge and expertise about the flora and fauna were unmatched. Lunch was delicious, and the one and only reason why I am giving it four stars was because, while our driver was very nice, as two woman, it felt a little uncomfortable at times. He drove quite fast, faster than we’ve experienced in Costa Rica, and it was not a pleasant time in the car. Otherwise, this trip was excellent.

Mixed Feelings on This One - The highlight of this tour was a visit to a coffee and cacao farm where these delicacies went from farm to table before our eyes. The best part was biting into hot, freshly roasted 100% cacao! I can still taste it now! We took a guided nature walk in a forest. We saw red eyed tree frogs, blue jeans poison dart frogs, sloths high up in the trees, snakes, and a toucan. We also ate termites, crunchy and peppery. One aspect of this walk was extremely unsettling was that suddenly at the end of the half hour walk a sloth appeared hanging out in the open about six feet from the ground. The sloth was clearing "hung" there by a man who was standing nearby. While sloths are extremely slow, this sloth was not breathing or moving in the slightest. We would have seen this sloth at the start of the tour and there is no way that he could have come very far in just a half hour. Also, the sloth was very clean (no parasites, moths on the fur). It was either stuffed, fake, or a pet (if it was real). I took photos of the sloth and deleted them later because I was so sadden and disappointed that an organization would disrespect and take advantage of animals and guests in that way.

Overpriced, kids didn’t like coffee/chocolate part - I’m rating this trip as average although I recognize that the options for tours around Riu Guanacaste for small children are limited. The tour guides and drivers were nice, but more information about the itinerary would have been appreciated. The kids weren’t terribly interested in the coffee/chocolate part (combined at one location). The ride to the sloths/frogs part was 1.5 hours to get there and 2 hours to get back, but the short hike itself was less than 45 minutes. That said we did see two sloths, some cool frogs, a snake, and some type of weasel. The hike was on a small property near a coffee plantation. It was strange to drive so far to visit this small property. Also the AC in the back of the tour van/bus wasn’t working and half our group suffered through it.

DO NOT BOOK!!!! SCAM, MISSLEADING, & FALSE ADVERTISE! - Don't book this, it's a scam, misleading and false advertise. We were told it was 1.5 hour drive and we would be back at hotel at 3pm, when driver got there he told us it was going to be more Tham 3 hour drive and be back after 6. We could not attend this because of the real time frame and they did not refund us more than $500. Had to let my bank know about this and solve the issue because there is no way I was going to pay for something like that.
