SuperSloths!! - Very relaxing day, the coffee and chocolate half was incredibly informative and educational and we got to sample parts of the process we never had before! Then the Sloth Sanctuary was incredible, we saw so many animals up close and personal in the wild including a tapir and a baby sloth with its mother! Adrian was the best guide we’ve had and was a wealth of knowledge on the area and incredibly funny and friendly, we were sad to have to end the tour after hours of chit chatting with him!

Excellent experience with great tour guides! - We had an amazing experience! David was our main tour guide, and he was awesome--it was a long drive and he made the time fly by, telling us all about Costa Rica. Richard was our guide at the coffee and chocolate part of the tour, and he gave us a ton of fascinating information. Diego was our guide during the sloth/frog part of the tour and he helped us take beautiful pictures of the animals we saw. My family and I LOVED the experience and it was well worth the long car drive from Tamarindo.

Perfect day - We had an incredibly great day.
We started in Tamarindo, where our tour guide picked us up. As we had no time commitment to drive back, we made a small detour to enjoy a great view. Finally, we drove up to just before Nicaragua's border, where we were given a great tour of a coffee and cocoa farm and were allowed to paint our own coffee and cocoa. Afterwards we drove to the place where we could see frogs and sloths as well as a small snake and many other animals. Our guide generally stopped for every animal there was to admire along the way and took a lot of time to answer all our questions. He was also well equipped, for example with a laser pointer and magnifying glass.
At the end we went out to eat together.
The day was just perfect!
A little tip: take rain jackets with you 🙃

Can’t say enough about it, was an experience to remember - Our guide was above excellent and entertained us along the way with interesting things and facts about Costa Rica. The coffee and chocolate tour was way above expectations. The staff and the grounds were like a dream to see, an actual plantation where people enjoyed what they were doing. We got to see how coffee and chocolate are extracted from beans and to taste them. As for the sloth tour in a rain forest, it was so cool. Our young tour guide did great showing us a cool frog, a viper snake and multiple sloths.
The big spiders were amazing to see and then our guide took us back in the rain forest to see a Baird’s Tapir but he calls it an elephant pork which it actually does. The lunch was a typical Costa Rican dish and it was good.
All the guides were very professional and made this private tour something to remember. Couldn’t ask for a better day or better people. 10/10

Awesome experience! - Great experience from booking to the tour itself! I had concerns about the weather. Rosbin was very prompt in his replies and reassured me it would be okay.
Mesmer our driver/guide was great! He was very friendly and knowledgeable. He was a safe driver and allowed us to really enjoy the beautiful scenery on the way.
The coffee and chocolate tour was very fun and informative! We ended up buying chocolates and coffee afterwards to share with loved ones back home.
The highlight of the tour was the sloths! We mainly wanted to see sloths and saw 5, including this baby sloth which was within reach! It was so adorable and my daughter was in love! Tour finished with a yummy lunch at the restaurant nearby.
Very enjoyable experience and highly recommend! Pura vida!

Beautiful animals and delicious coffee! - This was a fantastic trip, and would highly recommend to anyone! We loved seeing the coffee and chocolate making process, and the animals and natural habitats were spectacular. And don't sleep on the lunch food either!

Very interesting but a lot of driving - This was interesting and tour portions were fun, but a lot of driving. The chocolate and coffee presentation was informative and was fun to try the different types of chocolate, tea and coffee. It was a presentation and not much of a tour, and they did keep bouncing back and forth between coffee and chocolate. I think it would have been better if they talked about one plant at a time from start to final product, would have been easier to follow the process. The lunch was very tasty! The sloth preserve was neat but it is a fenced in area, so sloths and the tapir are pretty much guaranteed. The frogs are not, so I wouldn't recommend this tour for a frog fanatic--we had much better luck finding frogs at the observatory at the Arenal Volcano. The biggest issue we had which is why this isn't five stars is the time expected was really different. The description said 6-8 hours but it was more than 10 hours--we left tamarindo at 7am and did not get back until after 5pm. Be aware that if you are selecting a tamarindo pick up location, you won't be able to do pretty much anything else that day.

I enjoyed the coffee and... - I enjoyed the coffee and chocolate tour very much. It was like a tour and a class mixed together. The guides were fantastic.
The frog and sloth tour was also very good but the distance we had to travel was over 2 hours one way. We had already traveled a long distance to arrive in Costa Rica so it would be nice to know the distance it is from your hotel to the tour.
