A Journey to Teguise Market

Our adventure began with a prompt pick-up in Costa Teguise by the Amanda Bus. As a family, we were excited to explore the Teguise Market, known for its vibrant atmosphere and diverse offerings. The bus parked conveniently close to the entrance, making it easy for my kids to hop off and dive into the bustling market. After our market adventure, we boarded a larger double-decker Amanda Bus, where our lively courier, who humorously called himself “Amanda Radio,” entertained us with multilingual commentary. His energy and humor kept us engaged as we made our way to the port. The ferry ride to La Graciosa was a highlight of the day, offering stunning panoramic views of Lanzarote’s north coast. My kids were thrilled to sit on the top deck, feeling the sea breeze and spotting dolphins along the way.

Upon arrival at La Graciosa, we were greeted by a quaint, rustic charm that felt like stepping into a different world. While the island’s infrastructure could use some improvement, it added to the sense of adventure. We explored the sandy streets and visited the Aloe Vera Museum, where my children learned about the plant’s many uses. Our day concluded with a delightful meal aboard a moored ferry. The crew served a delicious spread of paella, salad, and bread, accompanied by a selection of wines, beers, and soft drinks. It was my children’s first taste of paella, and they loved it! The meal was a wonderful way to unwind and reflect on our day’s adventures.

As we sailed back to Lanzarote, I felt grateful for the seamless organization of the tour. The buses were punctual, the ferry ride was exhilarating, and the food was freshly prepared and satisfying.
