ITINERARY:

DAY 1

• Pick-up at 8:30 am from the hotel (Staying in the urban area of Quito is recommended)
• Travel to Cotopaxi Volcano
• Entry to the National Park
• Stops for purchases and landscape photography
• Drive to the parking area
• Walk to the José Rivas Shelter at 4864 meters above sea level
• Hike to the volcano’s glaciers at 5000 meters above sea level
• Descend to the Limpiopungo Lagoon
• Enjoy lunch (soup, main course, and drink)
• Transfer to the hotel in Pujilí or Latacunga

DAY 2

• Pick-up at 8:30 am from the hotel
• Head to the Quilotoa Lagoon
• Visit the indigenous market in Saquisilí / Pujilí / Zumbahua (depending on the day)
• Visit Tigua painters
• Explore the Toachi Canyon
• Arrive at Quilotoa Lagoon (community fee $2.00)
• Descend to the lagoon and enjoy leisure time
• Optional kayak rental $3.50 or mule ride for return $10 (not included)

• Depart for the city of Baños

DAY 3

• Explore the town of Baños

• Depart for Chimborazo (Option to extend stay in Baños by one night)

• Access the Chimborazo Volcano reserve
• Arrive at the first Hns Shelter, drive to 4800 meters
• Approximately 1-hour walk to the second Whymper shelter at 5000 meters
• Travel the final 100 meters to Laguna Condor Cocha at 5100 meters
• Descend and depart from Chimborazo
• Lunch around 3:30 pm (soup, main course, and drink)
• Return to Quito and conclude the tour
