This was one of the best... - This was one of the best tours I have ever been on. It’s a must do in my opinion. Alec was very informative and gave a breadth of facts that left me feeling well informed.

Steps at Loughcrew and... - Steps at Loughcrew and hike up the hill side to see Loughcrew Cairns. But worth the climb to the top

There is some pretty... - There is some pretty steep hiking, but the payoff is beautiful scenery. Wear good shoes. A lot of independent time, the distillery was great. They could’ve been a little more punctual at the outset. Because it’s less structured of a tour we were able to have a wonderful experience in a authentic small town pub that we stopped at.

Beautiful Countryside, Informative Tour - Incredible views of many ancient sites. Matthew, our tour guide did a great job explaining information and driving our bus thru the smaller back roads. He organized our lunch stop to make it efficient. (We pre ordered and then paid after lunch- lunch is not included in the price). To see Loughcrew Cairns required a bit of a hike. My friends and I are in decent shape (we are walkers) and were able to do it with mild effort (just a little huffing and puffing :)). Two members on our trip decided not to climb all the way. But it was worth the effort.

Tour - A very enjoyable experience. We had a nice meal and tour of the Fore Valley Distillery. Alec was very knowledgeable and we learned a lot from him. Even made a wish at the fairy tree.

The beautiful Boyne Valley - There is some considerable walking and Loughcrew stop there is a lot of climbing. Our guide/ driver (Alex) was a fountain of information all along the way. This tour covered important sites but more of the less touristy sites, so not overcrowded.

Great experience for an outdoors kind of person. - This is a great experience, you go to some very ancient sites. However, this is a bit of a workout, everything is is up hill on grass, which may be wet and slippery, also windy. Prepare for chill and wet and very hard winds. Do not bring an umbrella, the wind will tear it to shreds. If you like hiking, you will love it, if you don't, you won't.
