Highlights
  • Dublin - Choose from one of two convenient central Dublin collection points (see booking calendar). We’ll soon be on our way and enjoy a picturesque drive across the green farmland of Ireland to bohemian Galway.
  • Galway - All going smoothly, we expect to reach Galway city by 09:30 approx. You’ll enjoy approximately 2.5 hours in Galway. There’s lots to see and do, but the city is quite compact. Take a stroll through the JFK Memorial Park at Eyre Square, enjoy an ice cream on the Salthill Promenade or pick up local specialities such as Claddagh Rings (Thomas Dillon on Quay Street) & Aran Sweaters (O’Maille’s on High Street). Those who wish to sit back and people watch can relax over a pot of tea and scones at Cupan Tae (8 Quay Lane), a quaint Irish tea shop. For those of you who have had a late one in Temple Bar, these guys also do a mean Full Irish Breakfast including sausages, bacon, eggs, fried potatoes, tomatoes and soda bread with Kerrygold butter
  • The Burren - Sit back and relax as we drive the short distance from Galway to Lisdoonvara along the Burren coastal route. Take in amazing vistas of the limestone countryside as we pass through ancient parishes such as Clarinbridge, Kilcolgan, Kinvarra and Ballyvaughan.
  • Liscannor - Enjoy approximately 1 hour for lunch in the tiny Co. Clare village of Liscannor. Delicious local food and drink options await.
  • Cliffs of Moher Visitor Centre - We arrive at the world famous Cliffs of Moher (approx 16:30), one of the world’s great natural attractions where you can enjoy a relaxed walk and breathtaking views. The Cliffs of Moher are 66% as tall as New York’s Empire State and stretch for almost 10km. Forming part of the edge of Western Europe, this landscape really is a “must see” on a visit to Ireland. You’ll enjoy 1.5 hours at the Cliffs of Moher, which is just the right amount of time according to the 90,000 passengers who travel with us annually! Your entrance fee (EUR 8.00) is included in the price of this tour.
  • Dublin - We’ll depart the Cliffs of Moher at 16:00 approx and make our way back to Dublin city. There will be a short stop in Birdhill, Co. Tipperary for a refreshment and restroom break. All going well, we expect to have you back in Dublin for approximately 20:00 in time for late dinner seatings and relaxation (tour finishes in the O’Connell Street / Temple Bar area).

Cliffs of Moher with Family - Our guides were very informative! Traveled with family, plenty of stops to accommodate for bathroom breaks. I wish the stay at cliffs was a bit longer.

see Ireland outside Dublin - Out tour guide Frank was great!! He was very engaging and entertaining the whole day (even though we met up at 6:45). Great storyteller and wonderful energy . The cliffs make you realize yet again how incredible nature is and Galway was lovely. I would highly recommend .

Worth getting up early for - Our driver from Paddywagon was Frank & he made the drive to the cliffs so enjoyable. He is an excellent driver and had to navigate the hairpin turns to the cliffs with concentration because there was a marathon going on that day. We didn't get much sunshine, but the gray skies made the views more dramatic. One hour stop in Galway. Get up early & don't worry, you stop for coffee along the way.

Brilliant - It was a brilliant experience. I couldn’t recommend paddywagon more. The standout was the wonderful nuggets of information we got from the driver (unfortunately don’t remember the name) throughout the trip. He gave us a synopsis of Irish history from 18th century onwards.

Outstanding tour and guide (Rich) - First off, the tour guide/driver Richard O'Brien was amazing. If you get him as your guide, you're in for a treat! He was very knowledgeable, while keeping us on our toes with his humor. We loved every bit of it! Rich was strategic with the planning around the beautiful weather we lucked out with, so we could experience the most time with the Cliffs. He also added a couple of bonus sites for us, too! One thing to remember - LISTEN FOR THE TIME HE SAYS TO GET BACK TO THE BUS!! Then set your alarm for 15mins before that. The drivers are very punctual, they will get fined if they go over their time, and they will not wait for you. If you are able to accomplish setting an alarm for the set times, you will have an amazing time.

A mighty craic! - Our phenomenal driver, Richard O’Brien, expertly drove us to Galway and the Cliffs of Moher plus two other bonus stops (cool castles!) not on the tour. The bus was comfortable and offered plenty of room so long as the rude people in front of you don’t recline their seats. Richard was funny and sarcastic and filled the tour with tales of Ireland’s rich history. There wasn’t any tiptoeing around feelings, trophies for everyone, or worrying about being PC like in the States - completely refreshing. The only thing you need to worry about is being late (don’t be!!). Otherwise, you will have a spectacular day visiting the beautiful city of Galway and breathtaking cliffs. Highly recommend!

Great tour! - Sean was a great guide and an amazing driver (along some very narrow roads!). The tour was great, plenty of time in Galway. The Cliffs are beautiful; there was a good amount of time allocated to that tour too although we personally cut it short due to nasty weather. We were allowed to get back on the bus early thank goodness! We were kept apprised of the next steps and the timeline every step of the way. There were two rest breaks included too. Definitely recommend.

Long day and rushed - The tour was long and spent several hours in the bus. Cliffs were beautiful but would be best if you can drive yourself to be able to explore the cliffs and do the walks to see more wildlife. Galway was lovely but it was again rushed with only 2 hours to have lunch and explore. Never enough time. The guide was lovely and informative
