Best Guide Ever! - This was an awesome tour! Our guide, Ian, was the best storyteller and had a wide array of knowledge about the area. Not only did he have a ton of spooky stories to share, he also was well aware of the history of the area, which gave each tale context and made it that much more interesting. My husband and I had so much fun exploring Dublin with this tour! Our guide even helped us get back to a landmark we were familiar with at the end of the tour so we didn't get lost. I would recommend this tour to anyone interested in Irish history and scary stories - it was the best!

Ghosts and spirits of Dublin, hold on tight! - Superb tour of Dublin by night! The stories are very interesting, even frightening for those who really get into the game. Carole was able to take us through the history of Ireland into the ghosts of the past. Be careful, however: those who don't speak English well will have to hold on to understand all the subtleties of the stories. Our guide, however, knew how to adapt to his audience. I recommend for those who like this kind of experience!

Take a history walking tour - Sean attempted to make it a theatrical experience. Most of the stories felt embellished. Dodging all the people in Dublin centre was very distracting. The shelbourne ghost story is similar to so many story’s all over the world. We were hoping for more in such a historic city.

Wide view of Dublin but not our cup of tea - I can't remember our tour guide's name, but he was a little too wandering for us. The 1 1/2 hour tour went 2 1/2 hours - which I wouldn't have minded if I was more engaged. He was incredibly knowledgeable, charming, enthusiastic, full of great stories and quirky. However, we all had a tough time following his timeline - he'd start a story in one century and finish in another - we had a tough time figuring out what he was talking about (somehow he always got back to the original story, sometimes after 10 minutes or so). He also had a habit of talking while walking - which wouldn't be too bad, but he was often facing forward, away from us. He stopped doing that after we asked him not to. If you want something a little more focused that follows a clear path and sticks to the time schedule - probably not for you. If you don't mind wandering the streets with someone who knows a lot who you can ask lots of questions that he probably can answer - you might like it.
