Highlights
  • Dunluce Castle - Located on a basalt outcropping right on the north coast of Antrim. This Castle was once the seat of Clan MacDonnell and stood throughout the medieval era as a bastion against invaders from both land and sea. Built in the 13th Century this fortification has seen its way through Irish history ( with a bit of Viking, Christian and British history too!!) and it will see you too as you witness its rugged beauty against the backdrop of the Northern Atlantic Ocean where the Castle stands vigil. Filled with haunting stories of collapsing walls and howling ghosts! Most recently it made an appearance in the Game of Thrones Tv Series as the great Pyke, castle and seat of House Greyjoy. Narnia too has its links to Dunluce as it provided inspiration to C.S.Lewis in his descriptions of Cair Paravel and has even been seen in a Jackie Chan movie called ‘The Medallion’ Dunluce might be the first stop of the day but it may well be the place you’ll never forget!

  • Giant’s Causeway - Find the heart of Ireland’s Ancient mythological landscape at the other-worldly Giants Causeway. Walk among the great pillars of what was once an epic bridge to Scotland & constructed by none other than Finn McCool! It is said that once this bridge stretched all the way over to Scotland being built by Finn when he felt like fighting with a particularly fierce Scottish giant! Some say that ‘Nature doesn’t work in straight lines’, those who do have never been to the Giants Causeway. An area of over 40,000 interlocking basalt columns, most of which are hexagonal in shape having up to 8 sides. This magnificent landscape looks like something that was built by the hands of a giant but it is entirely naturally formed by the slow cooling of lava from an eruption millions of years ago. Recognized as one of the top 100 geological heritage sites worldwide, something that should not be missed by anyone.

  • The Dark Hedges - The Dark Hedges being our third stop of the day is one that people travel from all over the world to enjoy. Recognized as one of the most iconic roads in Ireland, this avenue leads up to Gracehill House built around 1775. James Stuart who built the new home, constructed the road and planted the Beech tree’s which now arch over the road to form an atmospheric tunnel filled with the creaking of beams and the mottled light filtering through the canopy above. It can be a spooky enough experience at the Dark Hedges as they are said to be haunted by a mysterious ghost known as The Grey Lady… The Dark Hedges were made world famous by being featured in Game of Thrones representing nothing less than the King’s Road! It’s not all fantasy here though as they were also featured in the 2017 movie Transformers : The Last Knight. Whether it be Autobots, Ghosts, King Robert Baratheon or just the opportunity to take a stroll down this beautiful avenue; The Dark Hedges has what you seek.

  • Titanic Distillers At Thompson Dock - Located right by the enormous dry dock which once housed the Titanic Ocean Liner and of course inspired the namesake for Belfast’s first whiskey distillery opened since prohibition! The history of the Thompson Dock where the distillery is located is a story that will be told to you on your Whiskey tour, from ships to whiskey! You will be introduced to whiskey making in Ireland and why this distillery is the first working one opened in Belfast for over 90 years! Titanic Whiskey is a new whiskey but you will create old memories here as you are guided through the distillation process and of course a tasting experience that will leave you rose-cheeked and ready for more. This award winning distillery is here to stay so be among those who can say ‘I was there, I tried Titanic Whiskey and I didn’t sink!’

  • Belfast - For the last stop on your tour we will visit Belfast city centre before returning back to Dublin. An area of land that has been inhabited since the Bronze Age. Having been at the forefront of so many parts of Irish History it is hard to know where to even begin so make sure to ask your guide! We will drop you off right by Belfast City Hall with enough time to grab some snacks for the road home or maybe even sneak in a cheeky pint! Explore around the city hall and its environs before returning to your coach for the return journey home to Dublin.

Fantastic Bus Tour! - Had an absolutely phenomenal time on this tour! The bus driver Mustfa was excellent and very impressive on the narrow country roads, and our guide Ruan was so funny, kind, fun, and knowledgeable throughout the entire tour. Every stop was fantastic, and we always had just the right amount of time to hit all the stops. HIGHLY recommend!!!

An iconic day filled with history and legends - Our tour guide was incredible! It was a long ride but the tour guide did such an amazing job sharing tales, personal stories, jokes and the history of the area. It made time fly by! The most memorable is the Giants Causeway. Absolutely stunning views. Another favorite was tasting whiskey in a shipyard where the titanic was built! How cool!

Excellent time, highly recommended - Tour guide and driver were Aaron and Mr D. Tour was excellent, cannot rate Aaron’s knowledge and passion highly enough. Driving was relaxing and smooth especially around some tricky turns. Highlight was the distillery which I would recommend a repeat visit both now and in later years to see what they are producing.

Interesting tour to some breathtaking views - We had a lovely trip with Kieran (and Anthony)! Kieran told us many interesting things about Ireland and its history. The scenery was beautiful and impressive- we had a blast. I would recommend going to the Titanic Distillery, the relatively young company does an interesting tour and their spirit is quite tasty! Thank you for this experience! Ps. My boyfriend wants me to mention Mary. Kieran will understand😉

Fantastic day trip to Giants Causeway - The guide was really lovely and friendly and gave clear instructions on times and meeting places to be back on the coach at all of the locations. The tour is also fantastic for crossing off several of the popular tourist spots around Belfast and the surrounding area in one day.

Giant’s Causeway and Titanic Distillery - We started our tour in Belfast not Dublin. The tour guide Noel and bus driver Fred were excellent! Fred was a careful and mindful driver allowing the tour participants to relax and listen to Noel. Noel pointed out many interesting sights along the way and told us many related fables and wives tales. He also shared common Irish sayings which were much appreciated! The only drawback to the tour was the description of the tour indicated we were going to the Bushmills Distillery located in Bushmills. Instead we were taken to the Titanic distillery located in Belfast. We had just been to the Titanic Distillery the day before but thankfully not on a tour. Giant’s Causeway and the sights along the way were stunning. We enjoyed a bowl of delicious carrot and coriander soup at the local pub before heading back to Belfast. Johnny, the tour guide at the distillery, provided a detailed and engaging explanation of the distillery history and operations. He also used some of the common terms shared by Noel while on the bus.

Quiggs, an Irish guide, was awesome. - A guide named Quiggs and a driver named Thomas were in charge this time. My guide told me that Irish is my first language, and he taught me a lot about Ireland. Crucially, the first half of the tour, Dunluce Castle and the Giant's Causeway, unfortunately, were not weather friendly and it was very cold in the light rain. Admission to the Giant's Causeway visitor centre is not included in the price. (It was 11GBP) It was raining and very cold, so I couldn't bring myself to walk, so there was a corner promenade, but I took a shuttle bus from the visitor center. (2GBP with return ticket) Both accepted credit cards. (According to the guide, only Amex should be careful.) Dark Hedges and Belfast were sunny in the second half. In Belfast we toured and tasted the Titanic distillery. I bought it as a souvenir with my favorite smoky type.
