Additional Information

We initiate our journey with a briefing about the city of Dublin, as we divert towards the south to enter County Wicklow, fondly referred to as the ‘Garden of Ireland’.

Its picturesque lakes, lush forests and charming rivulets offer a visually cracking drive and a welcome escape from the metropolis.

Appreciate landscapes made famous by movies such as Braveheart and P.S. I Love You. Our route takes us across the mountains of Wicklow to Glendalough (we stop for a minimum of 1.5 hours) - the glen of the twin lakes.

Indulge in a tranquil walk to the Upper Lake and delve into the ruins of the St Kevin’s monastery, with its round towers, Celtic crosses and more.

Unparalleled views and great tour guides! - My husband booked this tour for the first part of our honeymoon. We both love the movie Braveheart and if you love it too, we highly recommend! This was where a lot of it was filmed. The tour guide was fun and informative. We explored the trails by ourselves and had a true Irish “soft” day by the loch. This tour made the whole trip for me.

Beautiful nature - We had lots of fun on this tour. The busdriver/tourguide Shay is a very fun and funny guy who can tell very entertaining stories and anecdotes. It was a well worth visit to Glendalough.

Excellent outing suitable to take along seniors - Excellent day tour. Richard O’Brien was our guide. We had 2 x 93 year olds with walkers along with us. It was a lovely day outing. Sweet restaurant the grannies could sit and have tea whilst we all (4 adult grandkids, 2 parents of the kids .. 3 generations old friend reunion ) did a beautiful walk around the lake. Well worth a drive out to the country. (We are Canadians meeting up with old family friends living in Ireland) Richard was great entertainer, tour guide and lovely with the grans. would highly recommend. (loads of opportunities to grab a bite to eat)

Pleasant afternoon out of Dublin - I went with my family on this tour in April 2024 and had a great time. Our driver / guide was great, and hearing a bit about his experience as a former Garda was a nice added bonus. I felt that the time at the destination was sufficient and I didn't feel rushed. The scenery in/around the Wicklow mountains is beautiful, and Glendalough was cool to see. Overall, this was a nice afternoon for getting out of the city. I would recommend this tour to those looking for a bit of time in nature during your stay in Dublin.

Beautiful scenery.... - Beautiful scenery. Unfortunately rained for most of the time. Wasn’t as spectacular as was described, but still enjoyed it. Driver dropped us off on return quite a way from pick-up point, which thought was not good.

Horrible experience - I do not recommend the experience, it is practically an Uber or a Taxi. They take you, leave you at the place and you have to run to see the lake and turn because you only have 2:30 and a half without accompanying you on the tours and go and look and arrive at 5pm because if not you will stay. And they don't explain anything!!! The only bad experience we had on the tours. It is better to pay for a taxi or an Uber and enjoy the full day and have a unique experience yourself.
