Highlight of the year - The Guinness tour was absolutely amazing. When I was at the Guinness Academy, the teacher Morgan was awesome and made us laugh. Would recommend to everyone to go at least once.

The Storehouse is a must - Really good experience, I wasn’t going to bother but I am so glad I did. The story and history behind St James Gate is great, and you finish at the top looking out over Dublin with the best pint of Guinness I reckon you’ll taste.

Nice but not impressed! - It was nice but it wasn’t a tour it was more of a museum. It was cool the water fall thing, but other than that just not impressed. And do not eat at the restaurants they were horrible!

Questionable value. - The interior architecture was nice, well done. But there’s really not much else to take in. The history was interesting. Overall, though, it was not worth the price of admission.

Very over-rated for what it is. - My wife had wanted to visit the Guinness factory for almost 50 yrs, and we had never managed it, for various reasons, on our previous three very short visits to Dublin. So for our Golden Wedding Anniversary, we booked 4 nights in Dublin plus the Guinness Experience. As you will guess, from being married for 50 years, we have "been around the block" many times as regards "Experience"-type visits like this, and we have say that it doesn't stack up well against, for example, the Cadbury World Experience in Birmingham, or the Titanic Experience in Belfast. The standard entrance price isn't extortionate, considering how much it must have cost to build it, and it does include the cost of a Pint at the end, but apart from a natty waterfall feature that showed the Harp logo made from water, and a video of how wooden barrels were originally made by hand, we found the rest of the exhibit, quite frankly, pretty boring and repetitive. Even the much-hyped 360° panorama view from the bar at the top seemed largely of industrial buildings and blocks of flats, with the Wicklow Hills in the distance. And, of course, the self-guided tour finishes at the huge Gift Shop, full of, admittedly, decent quality clothing and souvenirs, but at relatively eye-watering prices - €5 for a small block of Guinness-flavoured chocolate: €7 for a keyring; €24 for a T-shirt, for example. We didn't feel "ripped-off" by the visit, just very disappointed that after waiting so many years to visit, it just didn't match the hype for us - we didn't even like the taste of the Guinness, so had a lager instead. And don't even think of taking children there; there's absolutely nothing to interest kids, plus there are lots of stairs and escalators to contend with.

Just ok - Nice to have tried a Guinness from its original home where it is made, but felt slightly disappointed as I thought we might see the Guinness being made.
There was a lot of interesting facts to read and a lot of previous equipment on show from times gone by, but unfortunately just didn’t engage enough.

Interesting visit - Booked a visit as it was on the top ten places to visit in Dublin. Got the public bus from College Green. Did the self-guided tour which was fine. Saw the history of the Guiness brand and its importance to Dublin. Best bit was the bar on the 7th floor and the complimentary drink. Views are amazing up there and the Guiness 0.0 was delicious.

Overcrowded, underwhelming and sadly, not worth it. - Most likely I am in the minority, but this experience was our least favourite in Dublin. Overcrowded, underwhelming - to put it mildly. We pre-bought our tickets but still waited in a long line up outside before being herded into the main floor, shoulder to shoulder with everyone else. Someone with a microphone mumbled instructions to the crowd (of mostly young 20-somethings) and then everyone moved en masse through the exhibit. If you're into taking hundreds of selfies or a mini insta photo shoot, this is the place to be, but not for me. I don't think many people were all that interested in learning about Guinness or the Guinness family - but they were interested in getting their free pour. The bars were PACKED and there was no space to sit down and enjoy. The exhibit itself is beautiful but it was near impossible to really appreciate the experience or the product.

Overcrowded and Underwhelming - I was looking forward to this tour but can easily say this is a skippable Dublin experience. There were just far too many people allowed in at a time. As the tour is "self guided" (and might I say, confusing to find your way around and through at many points) I was expecting it to be a bit crowded. I was very overwhelmed by the amount of people being pushed through. Could rarely stop and take in the sights and small amount of information on the walls due to other tourists pushing past for pictures of a waterfall. Had a few interactions with some staff and none of them were good. Staff was a bit rude when we asked for directions and seemed like they were annoyed. Thought we could add on the stoutie experience as it was advertised to us throughout the tour as being available to add on. However, after waiting in a line we were told that we should have pre booked and that they were "sold out" for the day (We had the 10am tour that day). I mistakenly expected the place to be full of retired equipment and was looking forward to seeing some history videos. (There is some equipment on one level, although it is pushed to the back of the room, dimly lit.) The coopers area was nice, with various tools and insights, although the area was very small and cramped. I was hoping for more spots like the coopers area, I suppose. The tasting was very rushed with far too many people squished together, attempting to smell the flavors in the white room. I was one of the last to grab my tasting sample and enter into the tasting room and the bartender who poured the tasters was rude and motioned for me to go to the next room and randomly repeated to me that I can't sample the drink at the bar, which I was very aware of. (I had just wanted to avoid being ran over by others in the room.) I do feel like it was simply a push to the top for the gravity bar, which did have some views but absolutely not enough seats or bartenders. We waited for quite some time for our beer at the top and had to keep rotating around the bar after being skipped by the bartenders many times. After searching for a spot to sit and not finding anything, we downed our drinks quickly and made for the exit. All in all, the experience felt designed to either exhaust you to make you want to take a break at one of their many restaurants or shops or just push to the top for a mid pint. (Had far superior pints of guinness at every pub we stopped at in Dublin.) I didn't realize I would be so over stimulated; so I advise if you don't enjoy being shoved around to skip this experience. I don't normally write reviews such as this but want to let others know who might be expecting something more.
