Highlights
  • Howth - Our tour begins at the fishing port of this quintessential Irish town, where we might spot a gray seal if we’re lucky. Depending on the weather, our next destination will vary: we could visit Howth Castle, delve into the history of Ireland’s most famous pirate captain, explore the stunning rhododendron garden, travel back in time to see a dolmen and learn its legend, hike up to Muck Rock for the best view of Dublin Bay, or wander through a forest for a picnic (bringing your own food is recommended) near the fairy houses. From there, we’ll head to the renowned Howth cliffs, where the sight of the Baily Lighthouse is breathtaking. We’ll conclude the tour by walking along the cliffs and descending to the most famous fishing village in eastern Ireland.
  • Baily Lighthouse - Set against a spectacular backdrop, the Baily Lighthouse is one of Howth’s iconic landmarks and a fantastic spot for photography.
  • Howth Castle - We’ll pass by Howth Castle, steeped in stories and legends, including those of the pirate captain Grace O’Malley.

Additional Information

On this tour we will meet one of the most magical towns in all of Ireland: this Howth Peninsula is loaded with legends, secret trails, forests, and cliffs. It is a tour to spend the whole day, with which the guide makes every effort to ensure that the group interacts and enjoys.

We will do a totally unknown route for tourists, very typical of the inhabitants of Howth, so that magic essence is maintained throughout the tour. Movie landscapes, fairy tales, hiking and fresh air in a special group. Are you going to miss it?

The route is about 11 km and we cross forests and climb to some summit, so it is essential to have appropriate footwear to walk through the field (sneakers or hiking boots). We will also have a picnic in the forest (food not included). The train ticket is purchased at the meeting point.

  • Not recommended for people in poor physical condition or recovering from injuries
