Fabulous tour - It’s a long day, but worth the trip! Lots of incredible scenery, not just the cliffs of Moher. Norman our tour guide knew the area extremely well and there was plenty of time to explore the cliffs. We were fortunate to have beautiful weather and we met lots of very friendly folks on the tour with us. If I were to do it again, I’d spend a lot less time in Bunratty castle and more time in the reconstructed 20th century village.

Dublin to Limerick, Cliffs of Moher, Galway Bay - We met our guide at Dublin Heuston station, then took the train to Limerick (transferred trains at Limerick Junction). At Limerick we transferred to motorcoach. First stop was Bunratty Castle, followed by Cliffs of Moher, then lastly a drive-through of Galway Bay, taking the train back to Dublin from Galway. It was a great tour...you get to learn a lot about Bunratty Castle (make sure to visit the dungeon first). Cliffs of Moher is a must-see for anyone visiting Ireland, but also spend some time in the visitor's center to get some background info. Tour guide John Todd was very knowledgeable, giving us a behind-the-scenes of the areas we drove through, pointing out historic structures along the way and the people behind them. Truly a tour to remember.

Great tour! - Great tour! John Todd was our tour guide and was very informative. John was also very helpful in showing us the best photo opportunity spots at each location. We didn’t feel rushed at the stops, which we’ve had to deal with in other tours. The one thing that we would say that could improve is the bus driver, Mike, who seemed to really not want to be there and was in no way welcoming to the guests. There were only five of us on the tour so Mike’s sour demeanor was very noticeable. Other than that, we would definitely recommend the tour to others.

Wow great day and the cliffs are a must see - We arrived early at the train station as we weren't sure if there was food on the train. In the train station there is food available. On the train it was limited. We arrived to rain in Limerick where we switched over to a bus. Bumratty Castle was interesting. The winding staircases were not fun for someone with claustrophobia. Lots of history and a nice village area. Lunch was a pleasant stop at an Irish Pub. Then it was onto the Cliffs. Weather cleared up and it actually got hot. It's a rough walk to the top of the cliffs but so worth it. We walked to the end of the trail and were glad we had on waterproof shoes as it was muddy. The views were amazing. This was a definite must see. We had plenty of time to explore before getting back on the bus for a beautiful coastal drive to Galway. We had time for a walk and dinner. Not much to see there. Got back on the train for the ride back to Dublin. It was a long day but so worth it. This tour was run by railtoursireland.com.

Lovely day with lovely views! - What an amazing trip. This was an excellent way to see Ireland. It’s hard to say what was better… the train ride, the castle, the cliffs… it was a great day. Norman was funny and full of knowledge and Michael did an excellent job driving. Side note… people need to remember to tip your guides!
