Grand day trip! - Chose to spend last day in Ireland in the country. This was a nicely balanced trip: just right for amount of time visiting the lovely gardens at Powerscourt, followed by nice lunch in the village square. Unexpected history and views through the national park, and was unexpectedly surprised with Glendalough! Katie was full of information: loved the stories, and learned quite a bit about the history of the mountains. Lovely sites, even if the sun wasn’t available to brighten the colors of the scenery.

Pick this tour for Powerscourt! - There are lots of tours available to Glendalough but in searching for one that also included the gardens at Powerscourt, I found Hilltoptreks. Glad I did! It was a great itinerary with just the right amount of time at our destinations plus a lovely lunch stop. Our driver and guide, Linda, was very pleasant, knowledgeable and provided lots of interesting narration along the way. I found the small bus comfortable, and I'm guessing its smaller size allowed us to take a route along the Military Road in the Wicklow Mountains that's not possible for bigger buses.

Pd: Ireland, I love you - It was one of the best visual experiences I've ever had. The landscapes were spectacular and the places visited dreamy and worthy of leaving in fairy tales.
The Guide who accompanied me that day was one of the kindest, most attentive and knowledgeable of the subject. I really enjoyed my excursion. However, I cannot remember his name ðŸ˜. All I know is that he had a very kind and smooth announcer's voice, wore glasses and had gray hair; tall and about 50 years old and up.
This gentleman took us through Top-rated places in each place, made the best recommendations and told us the best stories. It really made the trip pleasant and enjoyable.
As part of the excursion, we had a discount at Powerscourt Palace, and preferential treatment at one of the village cafeterias. We had enough time to visit and appreciate each place. My mom and I were the happiest.
I really think everyone should take this tour if they visit the country.
Ps: if anyone knows the Guide, send him greetings from Mexico

Highlight of our Ireland trip! - This was an incredible tour, and our guide/driver Gillian was just fantastic! She was very knowledgeable, had a great sense of humor and safely drove us from place to place. She also provided the group with a nice mix of Irish history and local stories, which made the drive time both informative and entertaining. It was really nice to travel in a small group (only 11 of us) rather than on a huge tour bus. Everything was well arranged and we had ample time to explore Powerscourt and Glendalough without feeling rushed - both of those places are breathtaking! Our lunch stop at Poppies Cafe in the village of Enniskerry was simply charming, and it was fun to learn about it's history in the film industry. We enjoyed the photo stops in the Wicklow Mountains ("P.S. I Love You" bridge, Guinness Lake) as well. I highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to get away from the city and experience the countryside - it was definitely a highlight of our trip to Ireland!

Easy day trip to see some beautiful countryside - Loved the gardens at Powerscourt, an unexpected highlight of our trip. The heavy mist blocked our view of Glendalough and gave an eerie feeling to our experience but we still enjoyed it as we have not experienced mist like that before.
