Highlights
  • Molly Malone Statue - Depart from Dublin at 09:30am. Meet your guide and fellow travellers at the Molly Malone Statue on Suffolk Street to begin an unforgettable day exploring Co. Wicklow, known as the ‘Garden of Ireland’.
  • Glendalough Monastic Settlement - Situated in the “valley of the two lakes,” Glendalough is a historic gem surrounded by breathtaking scenery. It was created as a monastery retreat in the sixth century by Saint Kevin. Wandering around the remnants of the ancient city, visitors can learn about Ireland’s spiritual and historical heritage. You can also have lunch at a neighbouring restaurant.
  • Hollywood - Direction to Hollywood, the original settlement called before its namesake in California, combines historical intrigue with scenic vistas. A playful homage to its well-known predecessor, Wicklow’s take on the Hollywood sign is worth spotting.
  • Irish Working Sheepdogs - A typical Irish sheep farm’s sheepdog demonstration highlights various aspects of farm life, such as raising sheep and cultivating organic vegetables. The demonstration of a shepherd using his dogs to guide his sheep is the highlight and provides a unique insight into the day-to-day activities in Wicklow.
  • Molly Malone Statue - We arrive back in Dublin’s fair city at around 4:30 pm.

Thank you Jonathan 💚 - Thank you so much Jonathan for this amazing tour. Great value for price, we had a long tour and discovered many things about Ireland. We loved when our driver sang 2 songs for us, namely Grace and the Rattling Bog, which I still have in my mind one month later! Great way to discover the history and culture of the Emerald Isle. Definitely recommend!

A great jaunt to see rural Ireland. - We loved our visit to the farm and so grateful that they took the time to demonstrate the dog training and tell us stories of what farming is like today, as well as future challenges. Glendalough is beautiful! We packed picnic snacks (though there are food trucks available onsite), this gave us more time to meander and snap photos. We were back in the city for an early dinner and plenty of time to enjoy night life. :)

Lovely day out in nature. - Great day out. Started at a nice time 9.30am. Delighted to see we had a commentator to educate us during our trip. He was both interesting and knowledgeable. The sheep dog demo was great fun. Glendalough is just beautiful. Learnt a lot about the Monastery there also. Nice drive with great views of the countryside. We got back at a good time too.

Beautiful landscapes - We enjoyed this excursion. Firstly the Check-out times are not too early and the return not very late. The landscapes are very pretty. The point that could have been explained more are the different walks around the lakes.

Beautiful areas, need a better guide - Sheepdog demonstration was fascinating and unique. Views of Wicklow, Glendalough were amazing. Would love to go back to Glendalough at a less crowded time of year. The tour guide was misinformed re:history. He told us the Book of Kells was drawn by children. No mention of the monks.. ?? Then in response to a question about when the “Priest’s House” at Glendalough was constructed, he said 1700s. The sign right in front of him clearly said it was erected in the 12th century, and this is kind of obvious given the history of the remaining structures. Very little history of the area given. Disappointing b/c other tours we have taken gave lots of fascinating (verified) info. The driver and guide were very nice but please fix the speaker system in the bus. The constant squeal and sharp tones it gave every time they spoke was incredibly annoying and painful on the ears.

Did not receive trip we had paid for - We arrived for our scheduled tour time and when our driver was 20 minutes late I called the company only then to be informed that not only had they changed the time for 1 hour later, it also was not the tour we had originally purchased. We asked for a refund of which they refused. The replacement tour that we were given was cheaper than our original tour so they would only give us back the cost difference. We had a group of 9 and we were disappointed because the reason we had purchased our original tour was the part that had been canceled; the aerial walkway views of Avondale. The replacement tour was also said to have included a walking tour with our guide through Hollywood but instead we were pointed to a hillside that a broken “Hollywood” sign lay on the ground. We did enjoy the Glendalough tour/visit but that was to have been part of our original tour. Our group wanted to cancel the “replacement tour” and requested a refund but was denied. We went because we didn’t want to lose all of our money. Just be aware that they can change your time and tour without notice and you still have will be charged.
