Glendalough and Kilkenny tour - We had a very good experience of Glendalough and Kilkenny with our guide Mac and our driver Brian. Mac sand 4 songs to our great enjoyment. His historical commentaries gave us a glimpse of the complexity of Irish culture.

Knowing Ireland - Everything went according to the schedule and the nature part of the tour was amazing. Pat has a great energy and humor, fundamental if you work has a tour guide. He explains everything about Ireland and he also makes a nice duo with Alec. 5 stars

A Great Tour Despite the Weather - Despite the cold and rainy weather, we had a great time. This tour excellently combines nature and human history. Glendalough is a beautiful natural site with two stunning lakes and historical sites, including 5,000-year-old churches and houses. Kilkenny is a charming old town rich in history and local living experiences. Mike (the tour guide) and Mike (the coach driver) make a perfect team. They are friendly and professional, ensuring a pleasant and safe tour. Our tour guide Mike is knowledgeable and shared many fascinating stories about Ireland. Plus, he's a good singer too!

Mac was amazing! - 10/10 Mac was very fun to listen to (he even sang to us), and was incredibly helpful in providing us with insight and guide throughout the entire tour. He also took us on a free walking tour around Kilkenny. As someone who went alone, he made sure to look out for me and was incredibly kind. Would highly recommend this tour and especially with Mac! -Samara

Something for everyone - This tour is the best I could have done to get out of Dublin a bit. First of all, the guide is fantastic. I could tell that he was a former teacher because he knows how to move a group and can organize people around sites. Best of all, he loves history and shares his passion for Ireland and its people in a very fun and informative way. He respected every person in the group. One never got the feeling he just “shoved the tourists” around. Second, the tour is arranged for any age group and fitness level. One could stay close to the bus, enjoy the church at Glendalough and then the attached museum, eat and drink; or venture out for a short hike around the lake. Same in Kilkenny. Some opted to do the castle, others ventured into the town. I managed to do three churches; but I am also a fast walker. One could also participate on the walking tour with the guide who was clear about where and when to meet. I loved that. If I had an elderly person or small children with me this would be perfect. The bus ride was not boring. The journey was filled with history and other fun tales from Irish culture. It started with lots of information about Dublin as we left the city. I learned so much in one day and felt really welcomed. I can highly recommend this tour with Collin’s tours.

While I enjoyed the time... - While I enjoyed the time we spent at Glendalough, we didn't have as much time in Kilkenny as I would have liked. Additionally, I liked our guide to a degree but he talked way too much. There were points where I would have preferred to just look at the countryside instead of being lectured to the entire trip. That took away some of the fun. And the feeling of being rushed in Kilkenny took away some of the fun too. I think this tour could leave an hour earlier and give you that extra hour back in Kilkenny so you could both shop and see the castle and eat and not miss anything.

The bus does not have a... - The bus does not have a restroom at all and there are no stops for restroom breaks. The first and last leg of the trip were about 2 hours each. Keep that in mind if you are pregnant, have children, or have any medical condition that requires urgent or regular restroom use. The bus was very dirty when we first got on, there was trash, candy and chip wrappers, and empty beer and soda cans on and behind the seats. The bus was eventually cleaned at our second or third stop by that time the tour was already halfway done. The tour itself was fun and entertaining, as well as the tour guide. I just have hard time with tour/ bus that doesn’t have restrooms, especially for that a trip that many hours.
