A Must For Any Music Fan Young Or Old - An amazing experience lead by a brilliantly knowledgeable guide Maria. From technical to simple information as a non musical gifted person the tour has something for everyone. To walk in the footsteps of musical greats was worth it alone but to actually sit at mixing desks or stand in the very studios was mind blowing. Better still you get to control virtual instruments and bands with the actual mixing desks. The vast catalogue of musical greats who have recorded or mixed in the studios is vast. Great story about Rolling Stones drummer Charlie Watts told by Maria. David Bowie and Kate Bush amongst others used the piano. Foo Fighters, Sinead OConnor, Kylie, 50 cent, Miley Cyrus, Ed Sheeran the list goes on and on. This tour is definitely not just for U2 fans. Great fun at end with headphones on close your eyes and listen to the history. The part about the ghost was amazing to hear and listen to with the state of art recording sounds. Smallest gift shop at end also a bonus as you don’t have the usual pressure of purchasing if don’t wish. No cafe and basic toilets. Me and my 21 years old daughter loved it best thing we done in Dublin. Thanks Maria for your knowledge and relaxed tour guide style 😀

Fascinating - I really recommend this tour. Our guide, Maria, was so knowledgeable about the history of the studio and about the equipment used to produce some of the very best music in the world. This building is central and core to Irish artists significant contributions to the global songbook.

Maeve was a brilliant guide answering questions and clearly showing love for the subject. Hidden gem in Dublin! - Have to thank my dear wife for booking up the Windmill Lane Studios! I had vaguely heard of the studios and if your into your music this is the place for you! Please forgive me for forgetting the tour guides name but he conducted a professional tour of how the music was made within the studios, about the people behind the scenes often mentioned in album credits, stories behind the singerd/bands,film scores who have been made music in the building,(U2,Rolling Stones,Kate Bush,Lady Ga Ga,The Commitements)history of the old and new studios. If you wish you always have a hands on experience with microphone sound and a mixing deck!!
