Fabulous afternoon tour of Durham - Had a fabulous tour with our lovely guide Donna. There was a total of 10 on our tour and everyone got on very well. At our first stop we had homemade sausage rolls with iced caramel frappe, we then went into the local market where we tried a wine with some unusual chocolate cheese which was explained by the knowledgeable vendor. Following a walk by the cathedral we visited a Mexican restaurant- the margarita cocktails were amazing. Next stop was a Chinese restaurant and finally Marco Pierre Whites for a selection of cakes and glasses of wine. The trip is a great way to spend 3-4 hrs, the time flies. You certainly won't be hungry ! We did not need an evening meal!

Excellent Food Tour and Company - Had a fabulous time today on the Food Tour in Durham with Julie, our friendly and knowledgeable guide and two other couples. The venues and food and drink offered were amazing and excellent value for money and we were all stuffed afterwards, so much so that we had to postpone our booked evening meal to the next day. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we continued socialising after the event in the Half Moon pub! Would highly recommend!

Fabulous day out and great value for money - Fabulous tour! Lots of great food and drink, and information about the city along the way. It was actually excellent value for me, with so much food of good portions, and also plenty of drinks (alcohol offered, non- alcoholic available). Great day out and highly recommend

A great sociable afternoon of eating, drinking and learning some things about Durham. - This was our second food tour with Triple A as we’d already done the Newcastle one and had a great time and the Durham tour didn’t disappoint either. It was great value for money with plentiful food and drinks (we were stuffed by the end of the afternoon), we learnt things about Durham that we hadn’t known because of Julie, our knowledgeable guide, and we had a lovely sociable time chatting to the others on the tour. There were just 6 of us on the tour plus the guide, and also Any, the owner of the company, joined us too. We definitely want to do another tour with this company.

Just yummy 😋 - I did the Durham food and drinking tour with two friends at the end of April and we had a fantastic day. Julie, our guide, was brilliant telling us all about the venues we visited along with the odd historical story about the city. We went to Northern Stores & Deli for yummy sausage rolls and frappe, Market Hall Wines where we sampled a delicious Durello wine (so much better than Prosecco), Barrio Comida for Mexican tacos and margaritas, The Rabbit Hold for Asian fusion cuisine and wine and we ended the tour at Marco Pierre White’s for delightful desserts and more wine! What’s not to love? I cannot recommended the tour enough. Thank you 😊

Stag do! - The standard five green circles of rating that TripAdvisor allow you to select is not enough when it comes to the experience myself and my friend have just had. I took my mate, Lewis, out to Durham for the food tour and it was absolutely fantastic. Julie, our tour guide, was brilliant and told us some really cool stories about the city that we didn't know. Anyone reading this. Do it. Birthdays, stags, or just some something new. Do it... My score: 11/10. Thanks for making my mate's stag a great one. Dave

Newcastle Food Tour - Great tour with our knowledgeable guide Andrew and a fantastic group of 8. Our starting point was the Grainger Market where we were treat to some delicious oysters, a fantastic cabbage curry and a couple of beers from the Firebrick Brewery. Next stop on a very wet day was Blackfriars restaurant were we were lucky enough to be sat in the tasting room. A beetroot and goats cheese dish was washed down with a choice of red or white wine whilst a member of staff gave us a brief history of Blackfriars. A walk down Grey Street and our next port of call was Salparo a Greek restaurant just a short walk from Newcastle quayside. Various dishes were available here and a small glass of wine, this place was a little disappointing and felt slightly out of place on the food tour decent food but lacked any kind of wow factor. Last stop was Dobson and Parnell another top toon restaurant this time for dessert and another glass of wine. All in all a good tour with some excellent company.
