The must do tour of Durham! - We found this tour quite by accident but were convinced by the description and reviews. They didn't lie - in the two hours we walked around Durham our guide Peter almost always had an interesting fact to give about the view and the buildings. You'll get an overview of the well known and less well known spots in Durham and quite the history lesson of Durham in all of its fascinating (and gruesome) aspects. Peter is also a well of recommendations, if you are still planning where to eat and what to visit.

If you do one thing in Durham, make it this tour - Can’t recommend highly enough. Learned so much about Durham past and present. Coincided with Uni open day which possibly resulted in a few more stories. Now know the meaning behind money for old rope and going for a burton! Make sure you wear comfy shoes, it’s hilly and lots of cobbles.

Great tour of Durham - Our tour guide was very informative and knew a lot about the area. Lots of interesting facts, stories that kept us entertained. He gave us some great recommendations of where to eat - Cellar Door amazing and a great traditional pub to try - the Victoria Inn which definitely was a traditional boozer. Loved the tour and would highly recommend.

Great Tour and Introduction to a Wonderful City - Peter, our guide was very knowledgeable and made the tour a lot of fun, he also customised the tour and added things of interest to us personally. Best way to explore Durham is start with Peter showing you around the sights!

Friendly knowledgeable guide - Excellent tour with Peter. Really brought the city and its history to life. Have used guided tours abroad but this was the first time we did it in the UK and it was certainly worthwhile. Would not have got as much out of our trip without the tour. Would highly recommend.
