Monasterboice Monastic Site - After meeting our friendly tour guide, we hop into a luxurious Mercedes and navigate through Dublin’s streets, heading towards the tunnel that will take us north. Soon, we’ll be on the open road, ready for our first stop. Nestled in the County Louth countryside is an early Christian settlement founded by St. Buithe, where we’ll make a brief stop. The site features many ruins, including beautiful Celtic Crosses and a magnificent round tower. Surrounded by serene countryside, it’s easy to see why monks chose this peaceful place to settle.
Oldbridge Estate/Battle of the Boyne Visitors Centre - Back in our luxury car, we eagerly look to our tour guide for our next destination. On July 1, 1690, two kings clashed on the banks of the River Boyne in County Meath. This battle holds significant importance for Northern Ireland, as our guide will explain. Today, the battleground is home to an 18th-century house that serves as the Battle of the Boyne Visitor Centre. Take a tour, walk the battleground, explore the walled garden, visit the centre, or grab a coffee before we head further north.
Titanic Belfast - Before long, we arrive in Northern Ireland’s capital city. Before exploring the city centre, we head to Belfast’s docklands to experience the ‘Titanic Experience.’ This self-guided tour tells the story of the Titanic, from its inception in Belfast in the early 1900s to its maiden voyage in 1912. This award-winning, 5-star attraction offers a journey back in time.
Belfast - After a day filled with exciting events, we head to our centrally located overnight accommodation. You’ll have the opportunity to stroll the streets, grab a bite to eat, and enjoy a well-deserved pint of Belfast Ale at the famous Crown Bar, just around the corner.
Giants Causeway, Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, The Dark Hedges, Dunluce Castle, Bushmills.
The Dark Hedges - Two hundred years ago, Mr. Stuart of Gracehill House planted 150 beech trees to create an impressive entrance to his home. Known locally as Bregagh Road, it is famously known as the Dark Hedges, made popular by the TV series “Game of Thrones.”
Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge - Over 250 years ago, fishermen built a bridge from mainland Ireland to Carrick-a-Rede island to catch Atlantic Salmon. Today, it is a thrilling visitor attraction that draws people from around the world to cross the rope bridge—not for the faint of heart! Afterward, we’ll stop in Ballintoy village for a quick refreshment and visit Whitepark Bay on our way to the day’s main attraction.
Giant’s Causeway - Our premium tour now takes us to the highlight of our journey: the Giant’s Causeway. You’ll have ample time to explore this 8th natural wonder of the world, where legend meets science. Some believe the Causeway’s 40,000 hexagonal columns were formed by rapidly cooling lava from an underwater volcano thousands of years ago, while others attribute it to the legend of the Irish giant Finn McCumhaill. You’ll have to decide for yourself as you explore this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Your visit includes access to the Giants Causeway Visitor Centre, which features the site’s history, an audio guide, a café, and a unique shopping facility offering locally made gifts.
Dunluce Castle - We return to our chauffeur-driven vehicle and head west for a short photo stop. Dunluce is one of Ireland’s most picturesque and romantic castles. For ‘Game of Thrones’ fans, this will be an unexpected treat.
